Default Seat emblems

Has anyone added the chrome seat emblems to their LT1 seats.
If so how?

Don't do it. You'll just be borrowing trouble. On early model C7s with these plastic emblems they sometimes would break or snag clothing. More recent seats seem to have a recess for the emblem to minimize this, but your 1LT seat cover won't have it.

A search on this forum will find multiple threads discussing this problem.

I believe 1LT and 2LT seats are the same with the exception of the emblems on the 2LT; correct?

If so, it doesn't make much sense as to why GM just didn't include the emblems on both.
Replacing your back seat covers w/2LT type would be an option if you don't mind spending the approx $500 for them.
By the way, is it much trouble replaceing the back seat covers?

Owning a 1LT also, I second that emotion my friend.

If you really want them, and it will cost a bunch of dough, you could search for a set of 2LT seat back covers with the emblems already set. The 3LT has a different leather, and won't match.

The emblem on the 2LT uses a plastic bracket in the seat back. That's why the emblem seems to be dented into the seat. If you were to try cutting off the pins on the emblem and glueing (or double stick) it the seat it's going to catch on clothing and woman's hair.

Like me be proud of your 1LT. Take solace that your 1LT is rarer than 2 or 3 LTs.

Actually, if you are talking about Stingrays (excluding Grand Sports and Z06's), the 1LT is NOT rarer.

2017 stats:
1LT - 6359
2LT - 4539
3LT - 2653

2016 stats:
1LT - 8058
2LT - 11048
3LT - 7308

The emblem on all but the early 2014 production has not been a problem. My January 2014 built MY 2014 3LT emblems are recessed slightly and are not an issue.

Yep, I have not heard this being an issue since they recessed them about half-way through the '14 MY.

FWIW, I've never caught my hair on them.

I have a 2014, the emblem is recessed and high on the seat.
I have never even come close to catching my clothing on it, so hard to imagine how people end up breaking them....

Kind of ironic. There are a few of us that would love to get rid of them.

I read of a few who snagged their hair and hoodie on the emblem a while ago, but the matter seems to have been remedied.

I never realized the 1LT did not have these emblems. Seems odd to me that GM would nickel dime the 1LT to this extent. I also would not waste my money adding them.

I would assume a good air brush guy could air brush the flag if one really wanted them.
