On occasion my mode selector **** does not work properly. I turn it firmly to the right or left and the mode does not change. Most of the time it works the first time but on occasion I need to turn it up to three times in a given direction.
Are there any conditions while driving that inactivate this function? Anyone else experience something similar ? I have a '15 Z51.
It has to be a full-cycle turn, and when I first started using it I experienced the same thing likely because I didn't fully turn it. After you figure out what it wants, it works first time, every time.
Second C7 (14’ coupe (36k miles) / 16 z51 22k miles, I have never had to do a full rotation to select modes on either car. The selector on average has worked for me 95% of the time, on the first attempt. And , there is nor rhyme or reason as to why or when ...oh and if you want it to work on every attempt ....? Bring it to a service dept. , never fails

Full turn and quick release. Holding or hesitating after turning is a common cause, I used to do it occasionally when the car was new and had the same problem.
