Default Small leakage

Hi everybody,
As you can see on the photo, I have a little leakage on my 2017 GS:

It seems like water but in more viscous.
What do you think it is? Sorry for the bad quality of the photo. I took it with my iPhone.
I send an email to my dealership and ask him if it is possible to check the car I bought 5 days ago.

Clear, no smell & evaporates in a couple of hours? More than likely it's condensation from the A/C and nothing to worry about.

Yes, no smell and evaporates. Just this viscous liquid.

itsaz is correct. It's just condensation.

I’m not sure, but it looks like the wet spot could possibly be condensation from the AC. Jmo
Hopefully somebody more knowledgeable about such things will chime in soon.

Did you use your air conditioning before you noticed the puddle. If not, I would say it something else than condensation.

Just for peace of mind take it to the dealer. It can't hurt.

Thanks for your help. I'll go to my Corvette dealer at Norfolk for a little control.

I had similar leak, but fluid was slightly pink. Turned out it was venting of slight overfilling of transmission fluid. Water should be pretty easy to differentiate. Wipe with white paper towel, and water looks different from any other auto fluid.

Drive your car around for 30 minutes with the A/C on, park it and look for the puddle. If it's there, drive it around for another 30 minutes with the A/C off, park it and look for the puddle. If it's not there, you have your answer. If it is, schedule a service visit.

btw, did you by chance pick your screen name because of possible leak? Irony...

Just dab your finger in it and taste it. If it has no taste it is water from condensation....perfectly normal. And no, tasting it will not kill you even if it is gas, oil, coolant, etc. This method will give you 100% reassurance of what the fluid is and will put the matter to rest. Worth it!

I'm not sure I would taste it, but if it is colorless and feels like water it's condensation and nothing to worry about. My 2017 GS leaks water from the same area. You may even hear a "sizzle" sound shortly any shutting off the engine which is the water dripping on the manifold pipe.

This is what I do. Sign of a true Motörhead. I don’t know much about wine, but I can taste the difference between oil, gas, and coolant.

But this appears to be in the front end of the car....
Best guess is still water, but I would not describe water as viscous unless it mixed with some oil already on the concrete...

What about fluid from the serpentine belt tensioner?
Look at the tensioner on the front of the engine on that side and see if it has a film.

Power steering fluid is similar looking to water, but more viscous

EDIT:
Scratch that. I thought that even though we have electric power steering, the sealed linkage system still runs on fluid. I was wrong though. Just talked to a tech who said electric steering gear is belt driven internally, no fluids. Well, at least this eliminates one possible culprit
