Default Translucent top

I purchased a 2018 Z06 Z07 last night. Does anyone know if my GM translucent top off of my 2015 Z51 will fit?

It looks like the strike plates are a bit different on the 2018.

I have not tried fitment yet, but thought I'd ask.

The dealer parts department didn't know...

Thanks.

It should be the same roof. If your 2015 was fairly early production the later hardware designed to reduce roof rattles wasn't yet being used so that could explain the differences you see. The newer hardware is on later production 2015 onward and it looks different than the earlier but is compatible.

Does your top have white pins? I believe the newer top has white pins, indicating the improved location.

As others have said, any model year C7 roof will fit any other C7.

Take a look at the thread linked below for pictures of the pins:

https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...rent-roof.html

In there check post# 9 for pictures of the striker plate on the top of the windshield frame and the pins on the roof.

There was a TSB for squeaky/noisy roof panels, and they came out with different striker plates and different pins.

Your car will have the newer striker plates, your OE roof on your 2018 will have the white pins, and the roof from your 2015 may have the older black pins (depending on when your 2015 was built it may already have the white pins, but if the strikers on the windshield look different then it probably has the old hardware on the windshield frame and the roof).

I got an older roof for my 2016 with the black pins and I've never had any noise so haven't upgraded them.

If your old roof has the black pins and you are getting any noise from it, post# 12 in that thread linked above has part#'s for the white pins.

Bottom line - the older roof will fit; if you get squeaks it's an easy and cheap upgrade to put the newer white pins on the old roof.

And congrats on the new Z06!!!!

I'm also running the old pins with the new strikers. I have had no noise issues.
