Then feel free to disregard the independent studies by a university in the nation's capital that they've been releasing for the last 4 or 5 years:

They go a little further than just parts and manufacturing locations, which would disqualify most "American" cars, by factoring in profit to American companies, engineering resources, and other factors.

Not to mention there's an actual Federal law that vehicle manufacturers have to abide by to disclose such things:

The Camry (and Kia Optima, and various Hondas/Acuras) all have a higher index than anything produced here that isn't a Jeep Wrangler.

We're all inhabitants of planet Earth. Artificial boundaries created by human kind should mean a lot less than they seem to.

I just installed the small GM splash-guards this morning and guess what... when I unwrapped the first one and looked on the back, it read "Made in China."

So, it's not nearly as simple as this thread's title might imply, at least not in the second decade of the 21st Century.

Tell that to the Kurds. They seem to want their old boundaries back that were taken from them after WW1.

When other countries start kicking in to our tax bucket, then I’ll agree to a conversation about “imaginary” borders. But, we should probably take this conversation to the Politics and Religious section.
