Last week I bought a 2017...while doing all of the paperwork the car was taken to be detailed. Being all excited about my new purchase...and by the time I put meat in the seat on my 1.5 hr drive home it was already dark and I didn't do a close inspection for the owners manual packet and the sales window sticker. When I got home I was fully intending to pour over the owners manual for some of the things I didn't already know about the car. I looked in all the usual places...the glove compartment, behind the seats, under the seats, and the storage compartment in the back. I messaged the salesman...and he suggested all the places I had already looked...then said the guys doing the detailing must have not put the stuff back in the car. The salesman said he would have it overnighted to me the next business day (Monday). The next day he messages me and says they can't find the owners manual or the window sticker in the detail shop. He says they will have to order me a new owners manual package and get me a new window sticker.

I feel comfortable that they will be able to get me a new owners manual package...but I don't have a warm fuzzy feeling they will be able to get an exact copy of the window sticker. Has anyone else been able to get a replacement window sticker on a new car...in a timely manner?

You can always purchase one from the National Corvette Museum. If the dealer can't find it maybe they will pay for a replacement.

 

Yes, you can (they can) get a duplicate window sticker. I had one replaced that the dealership accidentally tore when removing.

 

NCM can get you a pristine copy--no glue, no tears, laminated if you want. Same with the build sheet.

 

^^^I agree. I have NCM copies of build sheets and window stickers for every Vette I have owned.

However, if you want the real thing that actually sticks to the window then the dealership can order one directly from GM.

 

The dealer can order a replacement window sticker and have it delivered in a short amount of time. Been through this a couple of times in previous purchases with the careless kids in the "get ready" department.

 

As other above have said get the dealer to order a replacement sticker for you.
