Tow Hook Question

I have a 2017 1LT Corvette and purchased a tow hook front license plate holder. I am able to get bolt that connects to the plate holder through the grill, but I am having trouble finding a place for the bolt to actually thread into? Is there something I'm missing?

I searched and asked my dealership and haven't had any luck. Any help is appreciated.

if there's a tow hook receiver on your car, there's a plastic piece you need to pull off of the grill. did you do that?

If you did that and there's no receiver, you're out of luck.

The receiver ain't in the middle, it is in upper passenger side corner of grill under removeable piece of the grill.

The 2014 base Stingrays do not have a receiver for the tow hook, and I don't think they added one on later years.
The European models come with the tow hook. but US models do not.
