Just bought a 2014 Stingray Z51 3 days ago. Car sat in storage down in Florida for 1 year. Needed a battery when I got to the car. Drove it 1200 miles home with not one problem starting and stopping along the trip. Got home and drove it all the next day. The next night I parked it and went to go start it and nothing! Everything works like its about to start fuel pump kicks on and relays click but dash goes black then goes into accessory mode no start. Anyone have any idea of what it could be? No theft lights or anything. Just no power going to the starter.
Is there something putting a drain on the battery?
Try jumping it and see if it starts. If it does, you might have something putting a drain on the battery.
Its a brand new battery. But i did try that just in case still nothing. Checked the volts coming out of the battery and they are perfect. Car acts like its getting ready to start and nothing happens.
My 14 didn't start at all one day last week , with me it was my key fob battery . Your case might be different bc it's trying to start. Where mine was completely dead . Good luck

Put a new battery in the key fob this morning to make sure that wasn't it also. Also tried putting the key in the '"key hole"
You mean glove box slot?
If so make darned sure FOB's oriented properly.
Put in backwards will do nothing so make sure, its happened before.
BTW, any warranty left on this car?
Wondering if this isn't why car was sold, a GMVIS should reveal if it was.
Repeated warranty visits for 'no start' condition will be the tell.
G/L, hopefully its something stupid simple and cheap.

Car was actually used as collateral in a business loan guy paid for a year then stopped making payments the bank had it in there possession for the entire time. Was sitting in a air conditioned storage.
No warranty left on the car, was a bob bonderaunt car so it never had a warranty. needless to say it was a deal I couldn't say no to price wise and now im paying for it..
I wouldn't worry too much about it being a track school car if the price was right. I understand those cars are meticulously maintained. Bottom line, the school may have liability for letting something go on the car.
Hopefully you can find the problem and it's something minor. Once you get past this you will love the car.
As said above, make sure the fob orientation is correct in the slot.
Best of luck hope you find the problem
Check the starter itself, it may be bad or the connection at the starter is loose/disconnected.
c54u is the winner!!! it was the starter relay. Switched headlight relay with the starter one and it is fixed!! Literally called the tow guy 5 minutes before I checked the forum. Thank you all so much for the ideas everybody. Best forum out there!
"Starter relay"... where is it and what's it look like--is it one of those 'blocky plugs'? What I know about electrical problems is--"don't let the magic smoke out"--aside from that, electricity is voodoo. Sooo... what makes a relay go bad?

Thank you. surprised with the amount of people that take pictures. Ill probably rock it for a few months and peel it.
I once had a BMW motorcycle (K1200LT) that was notorious for running down the battery when it sat. If you tried to start it with a weak battery, it would fry the starter relay. DAMHIK. It happened to a lot of people and cost BMW a lot of money in warranty repairs.
