Default Well, crap...

The worst time of the year, automotively speaking, is upon me. I really, really hate Minnesnowta. Just a little more cleanup and the covers go on for, at least, 5 long damn months.

I'd feel bad for you, except I'm from Saskatchewan, and the season is over in September usually, until about May.

So, when you're complaining about the short summers in Minnesota, just keep in mind you got a few extra months!

Everyone in that climate who buys a car like this has to be prepared for making the payment while the thing is sitting on jack stands (or whatever) for half the year! It sucks...

I have come to the conclusion there is no "good" place to live where the average Joe can afford to live.

I lived in Florida for more than 30 years, and until recent health issues, the Inferno never really bothered me. Now I cannot tolerate the Inferno anymore. Pretty much the same thing - 7 months where the temp is 98 degrees+ with 90% humidity and can only stand to wash the car at dusk and then have to fight off the mosquitoes! Only thing is I can drive the car year round. Just cannot work on it 6 months out of the year.

Cannot afford to live in California with all the Libitards where a cardboard box would cost me a million $.

And forget about Hawaii - same issue.

So it is either burn 6 months out of the year or freeze 6 months out of the year, or live in a cardboard box with the brain dead zombies where it is nice all year long.

Yep, most places have some kind of pitfall. I work in northeast Georgia but live in Colorado, too bad can't transport the cars to whichever place has the best weather at a given time.

Come on.... even the ME gets winter testing :-) He then ducks as his is covered too and probably won't see a lot more driving if we have another wet California winter :-)

I think I'll continue to enjoy the middle-of-the-road weather here in the flatlands of Carolinas. Other than the humid summers, we don't have much in the way of extremes either way and cost of living isn't too bad, relatively-speaking. Get to drive the toy cars pretty much year round, save for the once or twice annual "snow" scares where state of emergency is declared for the possibility of an inch or two. Once the salt/sand/crap from that event gets washed away, its back to normal fairly quickly.

I'm with you. Tucked mine away for the winter today. Gave it a thorough cleaning and applied a coat of ceramic sealer on the car and the wheels and calipers. Even applied ceramic to the inside barrels of the wheels.
The only good thing is my garage is heated.

Hey C5N, I feel your pain here in Stillwater MN. Still on the fence--I don't think they have salted yet, so thinking about a last drive or two. In fact might go out today. But I know the days are numbered.

Shhhhh brother, don't tell everybody our secret.

Ya'll don't listen to him, he was kicked in the head by a mule when he was a kid. The humidity here is terrible, and I swear this summer I heard a mosquito say, "You want to eat him here, or take him with us."

I'm lucky with Oregon weather where you can drive all year less a few days and maybe 2 weeks if it snows and the gravel comes out. But down at the coast I don't think they have gravel.
rainy weather is no issue they don't melt but gravel down on the roads is another story.

We get rain instead of snow which I'll take. The summers are the best!

Same here on the other coast of the US the ice is rare and the body shops are full if there is any ice no one can drive on ice or snow.

Not much extreme's 40-45 is a winter day. Just a week or so where it goes 20

Summers are 80-85 hotter weather only comes for short spells then it is dry heat.

The "libtard" comment is out of line, this is not a political forum.
