So this is NOT a vibration as in wheel balance.
I started to notice about couple of months ago when driving under slight to moderate acceleration from 53-59 mph a wobble that you could feel in your butt. Any other time the car is silky smooth. It didn't bother me too much but on our ride back from SEMA it seems to be getting worse. At one point I had to nail it to pass a idiot in the fast lane going slow and it was very noticeable to my wife as well. The best way I can describe it is if you had a glass of water in your hand the water would splash from left to right but not spill over except when I nailed it, it would have spilled.
I am going to check the rear axle nuts tomorrow at my shop as the dealer had that all apart at 5000 miles to replace a defective flex-plate last year.
Otherwise it goes back to the dealer Monday for them to check out.
Any new/odd noise associated with the recent wobble? You sound like you’re a car guy, don’t want to sound like I’m doubting you on the wheel balance, but depending on wheel cleaners and how hard you scrub when you’re washing them, is it possible you knocked off some wheel weights over time and are starting to feel the effects?
Thanks for your inputs but I can cruise at 105 (that's what I set the cruise control at going to Vegas from AZ in certain spots) and it is smooth as silk. It is only associated with acceleration...if I let off the gas it is smooth. It almost feels like a bent rim feeling but again it only happens on acceleration from about 53 to 59 mph.
I'll check rear axle nuts tomorrow...
Keep ya posted.
Had it on the lift today, rear axle nuts are tight. Check all bolts for rear carrier and suspension...tight.
Did notice r/r axle is leaking all its grease and the axle has in and out play, l/r axle has no play.
Taking to dealer Monday.
Same issue recently showed up on my '14 (with A/T) at exactly 60 MPH. I have two sets of wheels and have the same feeling with both sets.
I was interested in your post about the rear axle issue. I'll be checking mine as well.
Please keep us posted.
Dropped it off at dealer today (got a brand new v6 camaro loaner) and got aggravated. They ended up ordering a new CV boot.
I was clear wwhen I dropped it off about the rear end wobble and told them the axle is leaking grease and has some play in it. They just ordered a new boot. I took the car back and have to bring it back in when the boot comes in. This will do nothing to fix my wobble.
If this was in my shop it would never fly!
When I bring it back I have to insist giving it to another tech to diagnose the problem.
The service manager is a super nice guy and explained Chevy won't cover the axle straight off, there is a procedure he has to follow.
Sorry about that OP. It’s crazy that they choose to waste your time and GM chooses to waste money when you are telling them what the real problem is. I’ve been through the aggravating song and dance myself, annoying.
Sometimes I get the back end to wobble a bit when I down shift to 2nd (M7) and smash the gas pedal. A little scary at first but I trust the car and keep it floored. Maybe the tires are losing grip in the cooler weather...

No...nothing to do with tires loosing traction. Read my first post.
Besides the leaking RR axle (which could lead to play) any thoughts about torque tube bearings? Just a guess but it's been an issue on relatively rare occasions in the past.
Of course I read your first post. I was referring to and sharing my experience with the rear end wobble.
Under slight to moderate acceleration at 53-59 MPH is the key here.
Down shifting to 2nd and mashing the pedal is not what I described...but thanks for your input.

I think that is a real possibility, not sure how to diagnose that besides taking it apart. I'm not so sure it's axle but it is leaking and it did have move play then the left side.
