Not sure where you are, but like the OP, I'm near Syracuse, NY, it's the highest average snowfall metro area in the US, our AVERAGE annual snow totals approach 150". We had our first snow on Thursday night/Friday AM, and the NY State DOT and local DPW has already put down enough salt/ brine to create a white cloud, and I'm just not into subjecting my new nearly $100k ZO6 to that stuff, not to mention the driving idiots that don't slow down on snowy roads. Do I miss driving the Corvette? Of course I do, but it's a nice weather toy, and I have 2 other nice vehicles to drive in the winter that are much more suited to handle the snow, an AWD Mercedes sedan and a 4WD GMC pickup, both serve me well until the crap is washed off the roads and I can get the Corvette out again. If it were just the cold weather, no problem, but low ground clearance, foot wide summer tires and 650HP don't mix well with snow and ice covered roads.
Wow! First snow already. Enough salt to create a white could? lol Yea I wouldn't take it out either. Didn't know it was already snowing in places of the US. I guess thats why a dealership in Buffalo had a huge discount in September on a Z I was looking at.
