I took the last ride of the season in my '18 ZO6 this afternoon, I've enjoyed the first 1132 miles so far. It's going to be a long winter, the next couple days I'll finish the cleaning and prep, then it's plugged in and covered up until a few good rains wash all the winter salt and grime away in April.
very nice OP. had mine out last weekend and i'm hoping i can get a few more day trips here or there before the salt hits the road.. that's when i call it quits even if above 50f!!
OP.. nice color choice.i think this car is so subtle and insane at the same time.. timeless..fast with class (no offense loud color owners lol)
Why would it be the last ride of the year? Are you going away?
I just bought some new winter tires. Zero plans to drive when there is snow/salt out but I don't see a lower temperature as a reason to not enjoy my Corvette.

I like the Z06 AND the firebird in the background. Too bad the firebird doesn't have the original wheels on it. Firebirds are actually worth some money now. Values have gone up lately.

Not sure where you are, but like the OP, I'm near Syracuse, NY, it's the highest average snowfall metro area in the US, our AVERAGE annual snow totals approach 150". We had our first snow on Thursday night/Friday AM, and the NY State DOT and local DPW has already put down enough salt/ brine to create a white cloud, and I'm just not into subjecting my new nearly $100k ZO6 to that stuff, not to mention the driving idiots that don't slow down on snowy roads. Do I miss driving the Corvette? Of course I do, but it's a nice weather toy, and I have 2 other nice vehicles to drive in the winter that are much more suited to handle the snow, an AWD Mercedes sedan and a 4WD GMC pickup, both serve me well until the crap is washed off the roads and I can get the Corvette out again. If it were just the cold weather, no problem, but low ground clearance, foot wide summer tires and 650HP don't mix well with snow and ice covered roads.

I hear ya! I put my Z away a week ago Thursday. I live in Rochester and it snowed here too. Been in the 20's for the past 3 days...no way would I be driving it even without the snow with these temperatures on summer tires.

Sad day for sure. I was just up in your 'hood a couple weeks ago, Van Bortel had a Cars and Coffee and it was a really nice (mid 70's) day, so we took a ride. Nice to meet some different Corvette folks and check out the current inventory. Matt said they usually have a couple more during the winter months, so if the weather is decent it gives me an excuse to take the ride, even if it's not in the ZO6.
