Could you imagine what would happen if GM would announce the A-10 for the C-7? Of course the A=8 values would tank, but they would see A-10 orders go through the roof !
This took care of it in my 16 Z51. Two hour process at the dealer:

I hate to be the one to tell you, but there's nothing obscene about "***** to the wall." It has to do with a rotating device that regulates the speed of steam engines. At a higher speed the ***** swing further out, thus ***** to the wall as an expression for going at the highest possible speed.
Very interesting, and to think all any of us had to do was to Google it.
I am a steam locomotive nut so I knew that, but I am sure that most people do not.
More recently it referred to pushing the throttles on fighter planes all the way toward the bulkhead. Since the throttle controls had ***** on their ends, maximum thrust was indeed ***** to the wall.
Knew it! ***** to the wall. Not afraid to put it in writing.
I prefer the manual but would consider auto so the wife can drive it--not really excited about that with her lead foot..
Based on the years of issues with the auto, I go with the manual only.
I traded my 2015 yesterday for a 2017. They just about gave it away!
And gave me high end KBB for mine (in the 3% of all that are considered excellent).
Yea it's good to vent and not get berated about it. I did see a "oh my God "A POLITICAL POST" earlier today. I seem to be the guy that uh... doesn't exactly give a **** for that FAT *** IN DC. I will not do it here though I have plenty of other groups for that. Criticizing GM, saying an "off color" word or basically being a dick just grabs those shorts of a previous group. I won't be surprised if I get kicked off (AGAIN) since they probably monitor other groups.
That said
I'm just a guy that worked for, 37 years and started getting theses cars because I wanted them. My wife goes along and doesn't say much but when the car is about $80,000 she gets a little concerned when I say OH the transmission or something is screwed up.
The ZR1 to me is a heavy tarted up Z06 with the same stuff every other C7 has Well more cooling stuff, wing etc. One guy has already advertised on YOUTUBE "Just send in $5000 and remember this car will be about $130-140,000" Right. Now is that 10 speed AUTO gonna have the same problems with SHUDDERING as the A8? Is the heat problem taken care of that's plaguing the Z06. YEs I like the argument well out of thousands only 25-30 overheat. SUPPOSE ITS YOURS.
My dilemma I want the next model I have a C7 so the ME is next I don't keep these cars too long so I wonder if they'll sell them before I get too old to but one. Is this car gonna be like $150-175,000 or are they gonna remember who kept then in business all these years. Remember the 1st year might not be so good (quality problems?)
Hey I must like them I keep buying them
I haven't finished but got to go

You have every right to be pissed. You didn't buy a Cruze, you bought their flagship car! Anyone who tells you your attitude is bad because you're upset over this is probably one of the thin-skinned pansies out protesting everything. Especially if you bought 7 Vettes. They should bend over backwards for a customer like you. Oh yeah, welcome!
Better tell "COLIN KAPERNICK" in your AVATAR he is late for practice!

Little good that does people who are affected by the problem.
I always get a chuckle when we're hit with high gas prices and people say "well in such and such province they're paying 10 cents more", well good for f'kn them, how exactly does that help that fact that I'm paying such a high price.
that is the first reasonable thing you have said in months
keep that up and we will invite you out to one of our rocky mountain cruises to lake louise in may 2018

With respect my friend I see the want for an A10 quite often. However, In my little worn out mind I cannot accept that GM will have anymore success with the A10 out of the starting gate, than they have had with the A8.
Disclaimer: My 03/16 built A8 with 7500 miles has been quite good. I do understand a small percentage of the earlier A8's, and TC's have been problematic.
one of our "plainer speaking" Presidents; Bess was invited to a formal tea sponsored by the D.A.R. and one of them politely asked if she could get her husband to stop saying hell and damn in public. Bess replied it took her 30 years to get him to say hell and damn.......like anything to excess, don't do it to excess
Very interesting, and to think all any of us had to do was to Google it.
.....airplanes of the 30's and 40's who's throttle control was often in the shape of a pool ball and thus maximum throttle was "***** to the wall"....(I'm a history teacher, can't help myself)

I thought it was a pilot term for throttles and mixtures to the firewall. I never saw a wall on a train?!? I’m thinking the railroad took the term from pilots!?!
