Default 500 hp LT1

Im sorry, I assume this has been posted a 100 times.. I did a search and there is a zillion threads but without sifting through them all..

If I just want some extra HP from my 17 Grand Sport (7MT and Z07).. to say 500 or so Hp.. what is the most reliable and cost effective route? Is there a flash?

Do I need something like this ? but hopefully way less?

https://jalopnik.com/hennessey-offer...4-c-1458181746

Love everything.. I track a decent bit.. so didnt want the Z06's supercharger/cooling issues, too much for me HP (no offense anyone)... but wish it really had like 500-530hp..

Depending on your location maybe, if you are near texas then I guess Hennessey is as good as any tuner.

I'm thinking the same thing, I would like a 100hp bump myself for my 18' GS. Vengeance racing has some attractive packages. They are alos close to where I live.

nope, DC metro on the Maryland side...

This place is close to me.. http://www.tonyscorvetteshop.com/

what are you planning to do for 100hp?

I was hoping a tune and intake and high flow cats or something (long headers?) can get me from 460 to 520+? not sure what they dyno to the wheels on a dynojet or dynometer vs mustang dyno... whatever it is...Id like another 50-80 horses

just bolt ons would be nice.. I'd like to retain my stock mufflers and active exhaust function

I was thinking the NA stage 1 from Vengeance on the link above page.
Thats in my price range, though the Supercharged stage 1 on down the page looks very tempting. I need to say that i got my car only 4 weeks ago, I haven't even got the motor to the first 500 miles yet, so I'm going to enjoy the heck out of it bone stock for a while. I'm going to go to the strip at least a few times just to see what I can get stock and then start modding. Kinda like having warranty for now too. So I'll keep reading what's working for others.

For the love of god, whatever you do, do not go to Hennessey, he has a long and storied history of being a crook. Unless you are okay with him selling parts off of your car to fund other projects.

^^^Excellent advice spinkick!!! Stay the hell away from Hen...wouldn't let them tune my riding mower...

To get 500 flywheel horsepower, cold air intake, long tube headers, + high flow cats + tune should get your there and be very reliable.

So this new block you provide get all kinds of work done with new bigger lift cams, stronger rods, crank.Different throttle body's.New intake etc.
Why not just add a Edelbrock Performer SC.Cold intercooler,Exhaust then tune? Got to be 100hp right their without removing the engine? How much is that installed from a good shop or yourself till tune time.
Just quick thinking

I don't know of any one stop shop packages, but you could purchase the items individually or reach out to Weapon-X to see if they could sell you a kit:

1 7/8" Long tube headers + high flow catted x-pipe (or catless x-pipe) (Kooks or ARH (american racing headers) are both good brands)
Cold air intake (Halltech seems to get great reviews)

Take the kit to local tuner for install or check with local tuner to see if they might already sell these items and install them for you

Thanks, those all help. Last question.. Who makes the most reliable tunes? I know I've used a lot of cobb products and hope there is something like a cobb accessport?

I kinda like staying NA. I did turbos for 28 years, I kinda want to go back to NA for a change. Not opposed to SuperC or Turbos though at all. Kinda interested in NOS these days too after seeing my brother have good success with hit kit.
