Sounds like you have confused your Vette (any Vette) with a Sno-Cat. The reason there are different vehicles is so some at the extremes can specialize in their purposes... and, strengths.
May I most respectfully suggest that you trade in your car for an appropriate 4-wheel drive vehicle equipped with snow-chains or at the least winter tires? All the best!

BTW, I have been noticing sub-optimal performance from my car as well with the temperatures in the 40s and raining all the time. The damn car breaks loose too daggone easy. I could barely pass a Prius this morning.
