Default Wheel swap

Has anyone put Z06 wheels on a Z51, for C7. is there enough clearance. Did this on my C5 with no issues and want to have them for track day setup. Thanks

They will mount but with the extra width and different offsets they stick out beyond the fenders. You risk body damage if the suspension compresses far enough.......and most think it doesn't look good.

I think your best option is to look into the Z06 reproduction wheels that are designed to fit the base car. You can see them on one of our forum vendors sites. They come in all finishes, and in the 18/19 & 19/20 combos.

Thanks for the input and picture, looks awful..... I wanted extra width in the wheel to get more tire on the ground, I was looking for performance, maybe a track tire will be enough.

The C7 has a really high offset, so if you want max width, you'd have to get your wheels custom made. I believe you could fit a 12" wide wheel with a 335 tire in the rear. In the front, I believe you could do a 10" width with a 265 tire.

Do you remember which vendor? I'm very interested.

Fred, I got these XO Luxury wheels. The style is called Verona. They are one inch wider at all 4 corners. Plus, I used the OEM sized tires to give them the "stretched" look you see here. It's very aggressive looking and gives you an alternative to what you are possibly looking for.
