Silly question my C7 has a backup camera but no beep when I get close backing up. Any suggestions that don't question my manhood

No beep.

It's a camera only; no sensors, anywhere, thank goodness!

My Lexus has both a camera and a backup and forward sensor; love them both...

I get it, you never backed up anything WITHOUT a camera?

Anyway, ignore the stupid squabbles. The car has no sensors letting you know distance. Camera only.

I just wish the camera lens didn't get so nasty in the rain.

My 2016 CTS has a choice of beep, or, vibrating seat plus dashboard alert when encountering an obstacle, wish I had the feature in my C7!
Also, the surround camera in the CTS is so much better then in my '18 GS for parking.

I never knew the Corvette had so many shortcomings until I joined this forum back in 2007. Funny how the complaints and wish list keep coming.

You should know that you're not supposed to drive these in the rain, because they melt.

I don't miss having the beep. Plus we don't have those ugly sensor circles in the bumper.

Pretty soon you won't even have to drive these cars.
Just get in and lay back and enjoy the ride. God I hope not!

If all you care about is gadgets and comfort, buy a Cadillac.

Who drives Corvettes (in general)? Old people.
Who backs into things (in general)? Old people.

So not to generalize, but Corvette owners should have beeps ;-)

I'm kidding, but older people -do- seem to be more prone to it. Harder to turn the neck?

In my Range Rover it has beeps -and- it projects vertical planes overtop the camera view so you know what the sensors are seeing. Pretty handy. Since my manhood isn't informed by whether my car beeps or not, I'll take all the assists I can get. I figure if you're ranking yourself by how raw your parking experience is... well, that's a little weird.
