Waiting, waiting, waiting! Waiting for what, a better deal? If you're serious about purchasing and find the car you want, PULL THE TRIGGER!! Enjoy the ride!!
I can't find my dream car on a lot. So order now or wait,??? I'd really like to See the other two new colors before choosing. I want 3lz Z or a 3LT GS....CHROME wheels and NOT a black interior. I'd like stage 2 aero, but that's not a deal breaker.
If anyone can find that please send me the link. I'd buy now if I could find what I'm looking for,and I am somewhat flexable..... light color, not black leather, stage 2 aero which is not a deal breaker, you'd think I could one !!
Just traded my 09 Z for 17 Z because of the deals that are out now. i never consider resale and have already put 4300 miles on mine in the last 3 months. If I had the time would have more. These cars are made to DRIVE. Frankly when I see a Vette of any year with a few thousand miles I believe is has been abused.

No, not affiliated with these guys but just bought from Mike at Criswell. Lot of options for both Z06 and GS:
Right now it's the perfect storm for those who are buying.
However, it's not the first time something like this happened. For those of us with some serious gray on top, you may recall back in 1969/1970 Corvettes were being discounted as much as 18%.
In 1969, GM there was a major strike at GM plants. When the strike was over, GM found themselves with a large quantity of 1969 Corvette fenders, and a new fender design in 1970. The solution was to run the plant on overtime to use up as many of the 69 fenders as possible. That meant they ran MY 69 into December. The result was a ton of 69 leftovers on dealer lots. Malcolm Konner, Zabriskie, and Farenkopf dealers in NJ were selling brand new 69 Corvettes for as low as $4250 with a 350/350, 4 speed, posi, tinted glass and AM/FM and these were mostly verts. No power steering or brakes and of course, no A/C. It was a great time to buy a new Corvette.

Same here! Great price (-20.25%) and fair trade value from Mike on 11/11/17! I am loving my new C7. It has been 8 years since I was in a Corvette. Too long...
Gorgeous looking Admiral Blue Z06 Coupe and enjoy the BEAST! I owned two different 2003 50TH ann. RED VERTS in the past which were beautiful cars too and don't forget to change your avatar.

Nothing shocking here, deeply discounted vette sales been going on for decades. Same thing happened last year. After about year two of production steep discounts are the norm.
Honestly, if you are in a position to buy, I don't know how people resist. I have a little under two years to go until I'll feel comfortable putting this much money into a vehicle. And seeing the current deals out there is killing me.
so in the midst of considering buy a car........you're concerned that the prices are lower than they should be; I'm trying to wrap my head around that.....reminds me of an old joke when the wife complains that she wants to live in a more expensive apartment, he replies great, they just raised the rent by 300 bucks.....are you overthinking this?
In any case hope you get what you want, when you want it for how much you believe is a fair price......
So many are reporting how super the deals are now, or how great a deal was gotten... Please post how good they really are in dollars off msrp that you got off, or dollars off a deal you found that is currently available... and where the deals can be found, which dealership??
Thanks
.
Two weeks ago I bought the last Corvette on a small central PA Chevy dealer's lot.
2017 WGG 2LT Z51 with PDR and Nav (and a bunch of other options). window sticker was just over $73K. I paid $59K.
Not some of the magic deals I've seen here but it was pretty much exactly the car I wanted. I've noticed that the really big discounts (more than 20%) are on lightly optioned 1LT 17's still sitting at dealers.
The first week of Oct I purchased a 2017 Z51 convertible from a small S.W. Illinois dealer with a 81+k MSRP and paid 64K and they threw in a indoor car cover.
I considered buying a new 17GS locally, also from a couple forum dealers. Local dealer was actually priced real good. It is November and in Utah we usually have snow this time of the year till March or April so the car would have most likely sit for 4-6 months. If it is still there in April then I may pull the trigger or on a couple others I'm watching. Local dealer said the price will be higher then. I doubt it, if that is the case then I will not buy. I looked at resale on KBB and it is right at dealer retail price now (at $20k off MSRP). While $20k sounds fantastic you can usually get $5-8k off a new one from the factory except it is two model years younger. Not many changes between the cars but 2 years younger does matter as well as getting exactly what you want.
I just sold mine because I trade cars often... loved my 17 GS 2LT Zo7, but when GM gave away the CCB option it killed the market in addition to all of the aforementioned discounts.
Th value was getting outside of my comfort zone to keep it knowing I would sell sooner than later.
When the money gets right they have to be sold or bought....
Happy for all those who are getting GREAT deals right now.
You do know they're Chevrolets, and they're all depreciating assets, right? No C7 is a good investment.
Best to go out there and enjoy the car while you have it. I almost wouldn't want to pay cash because you can lose so much value on a total loss. Just finance real low until depreciation settles down then pay it off.
For reference, 2 weeks ago from MacMulkin...20% off MSRP+$3k loyalty rebate=25% total off MSRP [$59,430/$44,464] on my 2017 Stingray coupe, LBR, 7m, 1LT & performance exhaust. InterCity shipping from NH to SE NC was an additional $1,395. Sale process @ MacMulkin was outstanding...top notch professional folks. They made you feel like they valued your business! Also very impressed with InterCity.
Thank you to the members on this forum that shared their experiences with MacMulkin and InterCity which gave me the confidence to purchase a car from a dealership I never stepped foot in and then to have it shipped...both first time experiences!
Also, since no trade was involved with MacMulkin I listed my 2013 coupe, 6M, NPP exhaust, 24k miles, 2 owner on CL for $29K one day and the new owner drove it away for $28k 2 days later.
Feel very blessed how everything turned out. Hope this information is helpful to someone.
