Happy New Year! I finally have my own C7
I just picked it up yesterday, super excited but the weather is 20* and ice/snow ( North Idaho winter) I had to have the car flatbed'ed home. Anyhow, I got a DSOM 2016 A8 3lt with the performance exhaust and the mag ride (9014 miles) . I have been a car guy all my life and have always wanted a Corvette so I sold off my Mustangs and finally moved up.

Now I wait till spring....

I am sure I will spend countless hours reading threads and learning tips and tricks from this forum.

Congratulation Grover, you never forget your first. It is a beauty, and hopefully you have a day you can enjoy a drive. I wish you many smiles to the miles.

Welcome to the forum, and the Corvette family. Don't forget to use your best Corvette wave when you meet another on the road. It's just good Corvette etiquette.

Good for you. Maybe it's in where it's warm enough to polish???

Beautiful looking Corvette! I love DSOM , I love when in different lighting the color looks different. If it was available when I ordered my 17, It would have been a very difficult decision between DSOM and the Blade Silver with Spice Red interior. It will be tough waiting till spring but at least you have it home and can go look at it every day and know it's yours. Enjoy

Beautiful car!!!

It sounds a lot like mine, except for the color.

I know what you mean about waiting to drive it. I am in VA and we got our first snow this week. Along with that are the trucks that spread gravel on the roads, so, not only do we have to wait for warmer weather, we also need to be careful about the state-provided-chip-inducers.

But, as you mentioned, you will have time to check out a lot of issues here on this forum, and, there are a lot of YouTube videos that demonstrate just about anything you questions about.

Good luck!!!

Save the Wave!

Congrats & welcome. Since it's in hibernation you might look into paint protection suggestions on previous posts. Use the Thread search at top of headers & also look at How To section at top. Alot, opinions differ, of folks at least get side skirts to mostly protect the lower body from frt. wheels aft to rear wheels. After that the lists of add on things is nearly endless.

Congrats on a beautiful car! They are good to go 'out-of-the-box' ... only 'mod' that I have added (aside from XPel - an imperative & all-weather mats) is the Vitesse throttle controller.

Welcome to the club!!

I have your twin car! They are gorgeous. I remember seeing this color scheme on the 1996's ... I didn't have the $ then to pull the trigger. All things with time!

Congrats ... It does look like this winter will be more 'typical' than the recent past. Be safe!

Thanks for the welcome guys! I like the idea of paint protection, I think the car has some form of a clear bra on the front now. I need to check closer.

Congrats, You choose well my Idaho friend. If its any consolation, southwest Idaho is snow and ice with temps in the 20s as well.

March, hurry the hell up already!
