Congratulations on a beautiful car! Wishing you many happy, trouble-free miles! Counting down the days to picking mine up at the Corvette Museum! Incredible color!
Thanks for the welcome guys! I like the idea of paint protection, I think the car has some form of a clear bra on the front now. I need to check closer.
I was going to suggest a clear paint film as well... Maybe some DOT 4 brake fluid too.
I bet your vette might be a rare sight in northern Idaho.
Also bet there are some nice, lightly traveled, roads to rip up with your C7.
Congrats on your first Corvette.
I too sold my last and much loved Mustang ('03 Cobra) for my first Corvette (2016 Z51).
I spent a lot of time in the winter months lurking on the forums, getting ideas on what might be done with the Corvette in the spring. Also spent time putting together an extensive music file to load onto USB for the "new" car.
After enjoying two fun Mustangs, I have found the stock C7, with much better handling and performance on a road course. Perhaps a step slower in the 1/4 than my 565hp Cobra , but still very respectable.
On the street, there's plenty of low end torque and its so much more refined, quiet and comfortable. On the highway, just push a couple buttons to go into touring mode and close the exhaust cutouts, drop it into 7th gear, roll up the windows and it is as quiet and comfy as wife's Accord. And it gets better highway gas mileage than the 6cyl Accord.
I get thumbs up and comments from strangers almost as often as i did with the Cobra.
Any Mustang owner has to be familiar with mods. The C7 doesn't NEED any mods to be respectable in just about any situation but its all available.
After dumping way too much money on my Cobra, I am trying to keep my Vette essentially stock. Only addition I felt was necessary was the Xpel for the front bumper and the rocker panels. Well worth the $ IMO.
You chose well , you won't be disappointed!

Happy New Year! I finally have my own C7
I just picked it up yesterday, super excited but the weather is 20* and ice/snow ( North Idaho winter) I had to have the car flatbed'ed home. Anyhow, I got a DSOM 2016 A8 3lt with the performance exhaust and the mag ride (9014 miles) . I have been a car guy all my life and have always wanted a Corvette so I sold off my Mustangs and finally moved up.
Now I wait till spring....
I am sure I will spend countless hours reading threads and learning tips and tricks from this forum.
I have a friend from Coeur d'Alene, ID, who bought a new Z06 and has 114 miles on it. He also has to wait until spring. How do you guys manage to do that?
California has become a hopelessly screwed up state but at least we still have decent year-around driving weather.
CONGRATES and WELCOME To the Forum
Beautiful Color.Especially when the Sun Beams on it
You should Decide on your paint protection. If you don't like side skirts look? Film will be your friend.Mud guards are a must.GM's are stealthy and work.
As far as CA goes, I lived there for 21 years ( san diego ), and the weather is the ONLY thing I miss from there. I think winter keeps this place affordable and less densely populated.
I really do need to decide about paint protection, I have not even looked into it much yet, is there a "go to" set up that most folks use?
I am way more happy in North Idaho vs San Diego, more of the things you want and less of the things you dont. EXCEPT weather....
Speaking of paint protection, what do most people do as far as film? entire car? I am not sure how I feel about skirts, they sound spendy and I dont think I really like the look.
The good news is I have time to figure things out.

I'm picking up my 2018 GS Vert at the museum this Wednesday and I'm having XPEL protective film installed at Auto Armor in Nashville prior to driving it back to NC. Google Xpel installers in your area and wrap that baby doll and avoid nicks and stone chips.
Congrats on your new baby... of course, you know that you got the best color. Paul
Yes, a beautiful colour. However you know the fastest color is AW.....notice when you order AW, RPO code AWS is included to provide the upgraded speedometer calibrated to 330.....
Though I am biased, great color. I have a feeling you will get a lot of compliments on it. I changed out the chrome, tinted the windows, and changed the grille. Here is the link to my post with a few pics. Enjoy your car. Spring will be here soon
