I wonder if this counts sold orders on cars not built yet, which mine hasn't been. If so, I will probably have a 1 of 1 2018. Only 198 Z51 convertibles sold, of which only 28 are M7s, and only 2 Stingray convertibles are Sebring Orange. There's no way to tell whether the other one is a base or Z51, manual or automatic.
If the numbers are accurate, it's quite likely the only Z51 M7 convertible in SO, which is pretty much the only reason I ordered new. I like to buy lightly-used, CPO cars, but knew I'd never find one with those specs.
I wonder just how much of the VIN you can pick. I mean certain numbers/letters have to be there because they mean something right? I mean I can't just say "Well I pick a VIN of 0000000000000000".

It is actually "Customer selectable VIN ending", so my guess is that you can only choose the last 5 digits provided they are not already used.
According to Mike Furman, as well as "Angela from Customer Service," my TPW is 1/15, and it is a 2018. Orders closed the 2nd week of November, but 2018 production continues through the week of 1/22 the last I heard. Since all the 2018 orders have now been scheduled for production, they'd have the final numbers even though all the cars have not yet been built.
I can't believe how well Ceramic Matrix Gray sold - #3 color, and I have yet to see one on the road.
With the GS, Z51 sales have plummeted to just 8% of all C7's and Base cars outnumber Z51's by almost 4:1.
Having ordered a new Z51 just like my old Z51 except for color, I'm not concerned about that. Less demand, but also less supply, and it all evens out somehow. I just prefer the clean look of the narrow-body, and while we may be in the minority, there are enough of us.
The same market principle applies to the demand for manual vs. automatic. Finding a narrow-body, manual, Z51 convertible is very hard, as it was when I was looking for my '14, but there are enough of us who really want them.

My Z06 was built yesterday with the last numers 2053.
