Default Anyone here current use Heacock Classic Car Insurance?

I was at the NCRS Winter meet today and I saw a booth for Heacock Classic Car insurance. Since my current policy is coming up for renewal, I figure I would ask if they cover any "Pleasure" driving, and not just driving to shows, parades and car club events like Hargerty or the NCM insurance. Their answer was they don't have the usual show or club restrictions and any pleasure driving is covered. Yeah, I understand, no driving to work or schools along with the traditional classic car restrictions for garaging, another daily driver, etc. They stated, the car can never used for back-up transportation or errand running.

So I asked if going to get ice cream or driving to the beach for the day is a errand and he said an errand is like driving to Home Depot and picking up some lumber.

Many, many years ago I had Sneed Classic Car insurance on the vette as they were wonderful and stated any pleasure use, with unlimited miliage. Then they got out of the business. Now they are back in the classic car business but they won't insure anything newer than 10 years old so no C7's.

Right now I have regular insurance and it is a bit much. Guess I need to see the quote I get from them.

Just wondering if any other C7 owners have a policy through Heacock?

Please don't start yet another massive insurance thread of classic car insurance verses regular insurance, or I have this or that carrier and pay only $100 year. I just wanted to see if any C7 forum member have their insurance through Heacock.

Nah, I have NCM at less than half the price of SF. Just shop...but I didn't because of the way that they have handled claims for a friend...sold me.

I used to have Heacock, pretty sure they are just the agent for American Modern just like NCM. I did ask them once about stopping at supermarket on way home from a show and they told I would not be covered, would have to go home and switch cars first before stopping.

Good morning, we use the same carrier as Heacock, American Modern Insurance Group.

There's your answer...always ask the agent "who is the actual insurer".

Some agents cannot sell in all states; some companies can't write policies in all states; some agents have an exclusive distribution agreement and underwriting authority with the insurer - sometimes called an "MGA"; some companies put distribution deals together with different agents/MGAs in different states.

I'm with NCM

Quote will not allow any figure larger than "0" for ANY deductibles on Vehicle 2, which is a 2013 VW Beetle?

I thought with NCM insurance, as long as you keep it under the stated mileage limit, (1K,3K per year), you are good to go. Provided you have daily drivers too.

It is forcing the $0 deductible, so go ahead and complete that quote with the $0 deductible. If you want a higher one we can look into that.

We are Collector Vehicle Insurance, so as long as the vehicles aren’t used for errands, grocery stores, shopping or daily type driving you are good. Regardless of the mileage plan if you use the car for Car Shows (Carlisle, NCM Events, etc), Club Events, Parades, Occasional Pleasure Use (scenic drives, ice cream shop, diner with your wife) these are 100% ok.
