Threads like this kinda confirm why insurance rates on the C7s seem to be going up. Mine have increased about $150/6 months since I bought it in July 2015.
It's really disappointing that the car's frame appears to be twisted when there was no impact other than the wheel/tire being hit. It appears all the pre-production bragging about how strong and stiff the frame would be was just BS.
My guess is that's it's totaled because there's probably no place you can get to on the frame where you can apply enough force to straighten out the twist without causing more damage. There's also the possibility of hidden structural damage now as a result of the accident, and later from trying to fix the frame.
You might as well start looking for a replacement.
Applying extreme force to one point on the structure can easily result in frame damage even when the overall vehicle damage is minor and this same thing happens with large truck frames when concentrated force is applied to a specific area, i.e. a trailer hitch mount applies excessive force to a small area during an accident.
It is the automotive equivalent of looking at human survival where one person gets shot 7 times but survives relatively unscathed while another hit by a single 22 in the wrong spot is dead before hitting the ground.
A hit hard enough to instantly lift the rear off the ground and spin the car was more than just a kiss from another vehicle.
you need to get this car on a ''frame'' machine - ''right now'' ,get ahold of your ins company, and get to a bodyshop ''TODAY'',your car is ''WRECKED'',
