After my father (a GM retiree) died some years I thought my ability to obtain employee pricing through him was gone. Currently not selling my C7 but I am going to buy an Impala for the wife.
Happen to mention to the dealer (who was already giving me invoice price) that my Dad was a GM retiree before he died. They said I could probably get employee pricing which is below invoice. It is called GM Family Legacy Program. It is for children of deceased GM retirees. Checked it out, got approved and getting $2,200 under invoice PLUS the current $2,000 GM is offering to anyone on Impalas. Total $4,200 under invoice. Had I known when I bought my C7 I would have thousands as I paid MSRP to get a 2014 Convertible as I bought late 2013. Priced out a Z06 the way I would want it and it came out $3,326 under invoice. It also beats supplier pricing by a lot. Maybe one of you folks is in the same place I was. Putting it out there in case you are not aware of this.
Condolences about your pops. And gratz on the new implalla. Pretty cool of GM to continue honoring that for the families for workers who have passed away.

Yup, everyone should know about this if direct family of a former GM employee. Got my vette this way.
People will say forum dealers can do better...which might be true by a point or two somehow.
I know. Next year they are doing start-stop technology on the V6. Sure do not want that. Buying one with every option. Wanted a cruiser. May discontinue soon - you are right.
