Default Does this steering wheel exist?

I have a '17 A8 Grand Sport 3LT. It has with the suede steering wheel with Carbon Fiber insert at the bottom.
I have a very clean shop, as auto shops go, but I know I'm going to get in it with some crap on my hands some day and screw it up.
I want a standard leather wheel WITH the Carbon Fiber piece.
I looked at at least 100 cars on Auto Trader tonight to see if I could get a VIN from a car that had one so I could order it from my dealer. All the ones I saw with the Carbon Fiber are suede.
Does anyone have this exact wheel? If so could you PM me the last 8 of your VIN so I can order one.
Thanks.

You do know that the "suede" (actually alcantara) can be cleaned don't you?

Yeah, but I actually prefer the feel of the regular leather anyway.
I did the same thing on my CTSV and was happier with the standard leather.

You can purchase an OEM, leather-covered, flat-bottomed wheel, and swap out the CF insert on your current wheel with the plastic piece using trim tools.

I have one on my '14 which didn't come with the flat-bottomed wheel. I purchased it from a forum member who simply did the bottom insert swap. I assume this is what you're talking about?

Is that a stock wheel or has the CF piece been transplanted?

We have all kinds of trim tools at my shop, but I was just hoping to swap the whole wheel. I wasn't sure sure how easy that piece comes off.
Evidently it must not be too big a deal.
Thanks

I'm told it just snaps in and out. I have a new '18 coming, and plan to swap the plastic piece on the '18 with the CF piece on the wheel pictured above during the trade process. I've seen the CF pieces offered by various forum vendors.

Some people make it sound like a big deal, but thanks to a helpful member here, I did the swap in under 10 minutes. No need to remove airbag, just use blue painters tape to avoid any damage. Simply (carefully) insert a trim tool under the silver (aluminum) trim by the “6 o’clock” area and pull out toward you. It will come out about 1/2” or a bit more and it will press up against the airbag/horn pad. Now start at the bottom of the cf piece with your skinny trim tool and gently pry both corners. This will take a couple minutes as you stick your fingers in and gently and evenly pull out the cf piece. But if you’re swapping the steering wheel anyway, it will be even easier OP.

If you buy a new wheel, I'd be interested in your Alcantara one...

What color stitching are you looking for?i have the leather with Red stitching & if your Alcantara wheel has red stitching I would be happy to trade with you.

FYI the carbon piece just snaps in and out. Can be done without removing the wheel.

No mine is white. I'll want to keep mine to put back in when I sell it.
