Hey guys. I just picked up a take off Z51 spoiler for my Stingray, and am wondering if anyone can tell me what the labor hrs. for install is?
The dealer I bought the car from had a Corvette Specialist Tech. that handled all the Corvette related stuff and I just found out he passed away 2 weeks ago. They want to refer me to their collision center for install. I called the Collision center guy, and he said they haven't installed a spoiler on a C7.
I'm just trying to get an idea of how much time I should be billed for to install. It's a GM spoiler with all hardware and drilling template included.
I've checked YouTube to see if I could install it myself, but I can't find any vids with detailed instructions for removing the rear bumper facia.
The 1 vid I found just shows the tech tightening the last few screws in the rear hatch area which is no help at all. I don't want to risk breaking any of the bumper cover tabs that hold the cover in place.
Mine came with 3M double sided automotive tape. Easy to do yourself and it holds up well. Just a thought.
I thought about buying a spoiler like that, but wanted Carbon Flash. I ended up finding one on the bay for $150. and its Genuine GM so it has the threaded studs sticking out the bottom. Don't see how I'd be able to just use tape to hold it in place.
I was hoping someone would chime in with labor hrs. for install so I have an idea if the shops trying to rip me off.

I've swapped my spoiler (CF for white) in about 3 hours taking my sweet time with a lunch break. That included cleaning up my tools and etc.
Never have done a spoiler install myself I found the how to instructions, 2 hours later it was on. Key is making sure your template is lined up for were to drill holes. Definitely make sure temps are warm, cold is not your friend pulling on plastic clips.

Thanks for the tip on the warmer install temps. Hadn't considered that and I don't have a heated garage.
