Another Onstar Question
Tried doing a search but couldn't find a definite answer.
So my onstar trial has ended and the "Vehicle Status" function on my cellphone app no longer works. The one that tells you the tire pressure, fuel remaining, oil life etc.
Is it supposed to be included with the Basic Plan?

Nope, that functionality goes away when the trial expires. Basically, you keep the key fob functions free for 5 years (assuming you're the original owner). You will still get the monthly vehicle status email if you signed up for them.

Thanks for the reply. So the key fob function is the only function of the Basic plan?

I think you may also get to keep the functionality to send a destination to the navigation system. I currently have the OnStar active on all 3 of our GM vehicles and can't remember exactly!

If you don't have the Directions Subscription it will not download directions to your Nav unit in the dash. I don't use Nav enough to make that worth while. I just signed up with the Protection Subscription when my trial ended.
