Wide range of pricing depending on deductible, coverage, and term. Call Dennis Fitchner on here. As I recall, I paid $1600 for C7 Z51 bumper-to-bumper, 6 yrs, 75K miles, $100 deductible. But there are cheaper options. Dennis is the best and will provide a lot of options and prices. It also depends on if you get it early or wait until close to when manufacturer warranty runs out.

Thanks, I guess will need to also ask if goes to next buyer, my bet is likely.Thinking a good idea at the price of major repairs.

I paid $2k for a Platinum GMEPP, $0 deductible, 84 month/75k mile plan.

There are enough car age/time/mileage/deductible options in the GMEPP to literally fill a spreadsheet. When I bought mine for my 2014, prices ranged from under $1000 to over $4000.

Dennis will send you the grid of those options, and you can make the cost/benefit choice to fit your particular tastes.

FYI-- Don't even *consider* any aftermarket warranty regardless of the dealer telling you that it's 'just as good/better'; stick with the genuine GMEPP/Chevy protection plan. Dennis has the best prices on it, and it can all be completed over the phone/email.

The research on extended warranties has been consistent over the years. Buyer's spend more on the warranty than they ever come close to saving with it.

Granted, some just like the "security" but I know from my own experience buying a couple for my wife's cars back when cars were not as reliable as today I lost a significant amount of money.

I'm sure there are those who will chime in with all the money they've saved having such, but like any insurance policy (or, casino gambling) you are playing the odds and the house always wins, overall. They don't sell the warranties expecting they'll be needed, not after three years and 36K miles to work out the bugs. All the best.

Sorry but you are wrong when it comes to this forum’s feedback. When I first bought my new C7 almost three years ago I read EVERY post related to extended warranties on this forum. Countless number of respondents said they got back a lot more than they paid for the warranty.

Granted the vast majority of owners may never use it but if you got an A8 it’s a very expensive gamble to not get the extended warranty.

For cars in general, I think you're right. Maybe even for the average Corvette owner who doesn't know much about the car and uses it as a weekend toy.

CF members tend to know how the car should work and won't accept less. In my own case, we "made money" with the extended warranty on our 2001, 2006, and 2009. And I recall one dealer who got cut off by a quality after-market warranty he was selling (for Corvettes that couldn't get the GMPP), because the company was paying out so much money in repairs on the policies he sold.

For us, an important but difficult-to-quantify benefit comes when we are on a road trip and something breaks on the car, as it always has done on our last three. We stop at a dealer, jump in the usually free rental car, tell them "call my cellphone when it's fixed", and continue to enjoy our vacation. Priceless.

One of the little known benefits of the GM extended warranties is that any repair requiring 2 or more shop hours to repair will include rental car coverage even if the factory bumper to bumper or powertrain warranty is actually covering the repair.
