I went as low as stock will allow.Spray those screws with the best penetrating oil.Don't get any spray on that rear spring.Use the straw. The combination of a aluminum housing, steel bolt with a small head and road salt could go from a TIT job to a wrench throwing kick in the crotch,PIA!
You can go lower if your into replacings spindles.Members here have posted they don't need any alignment? I must have some type of unique rear end.I had to install a aftermarket toe link to get the rear tires to zero for the best tire wear.
You will eat the rear inside thread on your rears without the extended toe link.A simple bolt on part. https://weaponxmotorsports.com/produ...nt=37646623697
Measure close to install from your stock part first just to get you to your qualified shop.
Yes,Qualified.Ask for a rear caster tool before you even book a appointment. That will weed out about 97% of the shops.Dealers are suppose to have it if they sell Newer Corvettes? Dealer alignments is another thread of discussion.
Love the look..The look at a cost for sure.Especially if you have a stage 3 ground effects. It multiples your clearance issues,BIGLY!

I'm considering lowering mine when the weather gets nice this Spring. My only worry is - as you pointed out - the clearance issue.
I'm very careful about it now, so it shouldn't be a problem, but it only takes one second of not paying attention and . . . . . there goes your front splitter!
On my 6th Vette and so happy to finally have one (in the factory position) that doesn't scrape every time I drive it. Hats off therefore to people who lower theirs as its a pita at the factory height......

Got a cheap front splitter that is reinforced with aluminum strips glued underneith with a door edge guard along the bootm edge for the just in case.

Well,Got about 18k miles lowered.Had to stop and actually turnaround a couple times cause I knew it would be trouble.I pay attention where these tires go.ALWAYS!
I think it is worth...THE LOOK
I'll entertain a 3 yr old thread. Best mod aside from tint you can do to the car. I have mine lowered on stock bolts as well as splitter. No rubbing/scraping issues. Just know how to approach certain areas.
All 5 of mine have been DD and you can have sonar and the best eyes ever but there will be times when you pull into a STORE / PARKING LOT and because you are leaving pointing down…you are screwed and just have to listen to the grind. Thats not getting even accounting for the “**** in the road on the interstate” scenarios …trashing the spoiler is the cost of driving Vettes ….a lot of miles , as in 15k a year. I would not have it any other way Best of luck
That would at least look better, without dropping it all the way to the ground.
Sure, you can lower the car any amount you would like.
Whether this will create issues depends on where you drive. For some, even slamming the car is no issue; for others, it cannot be high enough to avoid heavy scrapes.
