C7 Window Tint
Going to be installing window tint once the weather warms up. What percentages is everyone here running on their c7's? Throw some pictures of your tinted c7's down in the comments.

Wonder why nobody ever mentions that when driving at night your visibility is terrible? Or is it the cool factor that matters most? Just asking.
I have driven different cars with this cool tinting at night and driving visibility is terrible. With todays cell phone addicted drivers I want all the clear vision I can get.
And yes I do wear glasses when I drive at night. Whenever I drive a tinted car at night I feel like my vision is reduced by at least 40%. Matter of fact I have lowered the windows half way so I could see normally.

Your state law is 35 percent max. They do enforce it.

Every car I've had over the last 25 years has been tinted, most in the 30-35% range. Can honestly say I never felt my nighttime visibility was even remotely impaired.

I don't know if the process or materials have improved much recently, but I see a lot of tinted cars driving around with tint that is bubbling, fogging, peeling, and otherwise looking like S--t. I just can't get myself excited about putting that stuff on a high dollar sports car...

I had 20% on my C6 - it was great during the day and not too bad at night unless you were driving side streets with no street lights. It did limit night visibility.
So with my C7, I went 35% side and back and it's a much better compromise. I can still see fine in the dark but it cuts most of the glare on sunny days AND keeps the interior cooler than if the car had no tint!

Just saying, anything that darkens the scenery while looking thru it hampers visibility. Do you not think wearing even slightly tinted sunglasses makes a difference at nite on how well you see cross traffic or the guy sneaking up in your blind spot? Not saying it makes you blind, just less able to pick-up things to the sides at nite.Yes I know they make "SPECIAL" high def. sunglasses for nite but they sharpen the image "you can see" such as lights. If you're buying those, you may have impulse buying disorder.

Just came from a C6 to a 2016 Z that has tint. First time I drove I actually thought the rear view mirror
was in "night" mode but then realized it was the tint. Got used to it real fast and I think it looks better.
Will have tint on all my future cars.

A little off topic but anyone choose ceramic over regular tinting. I know it cost more but does it really cut down the temp inside compared to reg. tint?

I have SunTek CIR 35% on mine. When stacked on top of factory tint it's more like 30%. My other car has 20% and it is too dark for night driving (I have 20/20 vision).
