Bucsfan - Thank you. It's amazing what you can do with an iPhone and the proper app these days using computational photography. Years ago it took 1000's of dollars to invest in an SLR camera and tilt focus lens to get the same effect through optical photography. Unfortunately, as a result, all my film cameras are sitting around collecting dust these days.

As an amateur photog for 45 years I was wondering how that was done.

Carvin, I used an iPhone 8 Plus and Focos IOS app. Focos is a great app but only works with dual lens iPhones (7 Plus, 8 Plus, iPhone X).

Does anyone have any pictures of there windshield tinted? Around 70% or so. I'd like to see to get some kind of idea before I do it. If so do you like it?

One of the points to consider if your state is tough on tint.

Glass from the facto is already tinted some.Putting a legal tint on top of tinted glass MIGHT make it illegal in some states.

Curious about this too, and do most do a dark strip on top?

Does anyone know what the original factory tint percentage is? Probably cannot really add much here in Iowa and stay legal (and they do enforce it). Just another thing to get you pulled over like no front plate on an officers whim I guess. I definitely live in a no fun zone!

Most tint shops will check it for you then keep you legal if you want. I have 35% sides and back.

Just checked my '16 Z & in lower right (passenger side) of windshield it says "Min of 70%", same thing for sides (in left opera window-tiny one). PS: Actually says in all windows 70%.

Some states, like SC will allow as dark as you want, down to the AS-1 line.

I have CTX 30% on the sides of the car and the rear. I'm in TN, 35% is the law but I have never been hassled. This is a 2014. I run 30% in my pick ups also, never an issue.

I'm getting 70% installed today. Literally just for the heat rejection. I don't need the privacy.

If you don't take care of it or are stupid enough to use Windex w/Ammonia it will.

I've had it on all cars for the better part of 20 years now and only get a little peel in one corner where the guy didn't get it down well enough.

I have had 5% on the vette before, that is too dark if you drive at night. I stick with 30% now.

Since we're on the subject... My back window appears pretty dark but only says 70% transparent. Do all come with this or is it an option?

2nd question: Does anyone have 50% pictures? That is all our great state allows.
