Beautiful Carbon 65 Corvette!! This will put a bug in your ear... feel the difference between your tinted windows and your windshield. The windshield is the largest producer of heat on our cars. *Pro-Tip: from factory, our windshields have 99% rejection of UVA and UVB (cancer stuff). What our windshields can't do is IR (heat stuff) rejection. I put a 70% (lowest allowed per my state law) Xpel ceramic, which does repel 80% of heat.
Again, our windshield (and most other cars) is the single largest producer of heat. If you want to reduce the heat, don't forget the windshield (80 and 90% is not noticeable inside or out...70% is'ish noticeable). Most (all?) ceramic tints will not interfere with electronics or HUD. I've seen some members state that they would never tint their 'Vette...it looked "trashy". This is not your Dad's tint. It won't turn purple after accidentally used an ammonia based cleaner like Windex blue (this is still not recommended, even after 40yrs of tint progress). Some people complain about a "haze" of ceramic tints. Get better tint/installer. Haze is NOT a characteristic of ceramic tint, it is a result of poor prep and leaving residual soap/water on the glass. The glass has to be perfect.
As it relates to the little Corvette emblems on the back glass, you're tint installer should be using a heat gun in/around labels and emblems. It take awhile for the rear glass and if they do it right, you'll see all those little emblems without distortion.
Since it was 70% Opacity PanaFlex (Ceramic Tint) it wasn't cheap. $700 for the whole car.
I am having mine done tomorrow. Thinking 70% all arouns also. Any issue with the 70% on the windshield? Does it appear dark? Any issue with the HUD?

No issues with the HUD, and darkness is nearly invisible. I think I notice that it's like one shade darker, but its so slight that it doesn't affect driving at all. I have to stare at it and think about the clarity to realize it's not 90% transparent.
Just made my appointment for tint. I bought my car used, But it looks like the hatch is pretty dark w/ factory tint. Not sure I will have them add tint to it, just the rest of the car. Anyone do the same?
Louisiana law:
Tint darkness for sedans:
Windshield: Non-reflective tint is allowed above the manufacturer's AS-1 line or top 5 inches.
Front Side windows: Must allow more than 40% of light in.
Back Side windows: Must allow more than 25% of light in.
Rear Window: Must allow more than 12% of light in.
Going to be installing window tint once the weather warms up. What percentages is everyone here running on their c7's? Throw some pictures of your tinted c7's down in the comments.
45% SunTek Carbon all around. Just dark enough for my taste while reflecting a lot of the heat.

Wonder why nobody ever mentions that when driving at night your visibility is terrible? Or is it the cool factor that matters most? Just asking.
I have driven different cars with this cool tinting at night and driving visibility is terrible. With todays cell phone addicted drivers I want all the clear vision I can get.
And yes I do wear glasses when I drive at night. Whenever I drive a tinted car at night I feel like my vision is reduced by at least 40%. Matter of fact I have lowered the windows half way so I could see normally.
Agreed, the dark tints + auto dimming mirrors = hard to see at night
