yeah I've noted who has been on the phone and details. Wondering at what point I have to get in the car and drive there. It's about 30 min away.
As someone in the business, what would you expect the difference in the current used car value to be for that car, equipped as it is, if it had Z51 vs. not having Z51?
Just looked up what dealer it is. It is the one I suspected. I'm not sure how far you will get, as I have heard many stories about the owner being extremely difficult to work with and temperamental. I do wish you luck, however.

Not a huge difference as the demand for used/early C7's are strong. A lot also depends on color combinations. This car has a very desirable color combo, so the difference in price and demand between Z51 and ZF1 is negligable. I would say $2k difference would be a good rule of thumb.
My thought as well. I did look at the Black Book again and it shows 1YY for base and 1YX for Z51. The tag in post #13 clearly shows Z51 on the option list with a 1YY code.
My car is listed like this: Z51 and 1YY both on the RPO label.

He will get as far as he decides to press the issue.
You should be prepared to answer the question, "What would you like us to do?" The trade may be already be gone so simply reversing the transaction may not be an option. Think about what it would take to make yourself satisfied.
I would imagine the dealer is going to try to keep you in the car (path of least resistance) by offering you some $$$ back. Is there an amount that would be worth it? If so, you should do a little research before talking to the dealer. Do a nationwide search for comparable cars and use the lowest priced cars to help your case. Given the circumstances, you should be lower than any comparable car (mileage/equipment) you can find on autotrader or cargurus...

If I were in your shoes I would make my next communication with them through email or another documentable communication.
I would state clearly that "In a good faith effort to try and resolve this issue for all parties, I am willing bring the car back to the dealership for inspection or any other verifications that may be needed", then set up another meeting, and show up on time.

Not this dealer, there are so many horror stories and terrible reviews. I am not 1 to bash other dealers, but this dealer is an exception. It is one to stay clear from.

Ideally, I would like them to replace the car that I purchased with the one that I was told I was getting. The issue with keeping the car is that whatever dollar amount they throw back will probably not get the car to the same performance level that I'm missing out on

He will have to decide that exact question; what is it that will make him whole.

I would settle for nothing less, and depending on how much they jerk you around, I might demand compensation for expenses. You should get what negotiated for, and what you paid for, no less.

Here is another perspective on your issue. Was it advertised in writing that it was a Z51 or just the salesman saying it was a Z51? If you run the VIN # on Google there is still some info out there on the car. Nothing shows it as a Z51 car. It was advertised in the mid 40s and with some negotiating then did you get it for the low 40s? Based on that it probably would not have been a Z51 3LT. Running KBB Trade value the base 2015 with your options has a trade value in the low 40s, so perhaps you did get a pretty good deal (while truly not a Z51) as thought. It looks like a great car so enjoy it as sometimes the legal fight is not worth it unless you have all the cards in your favor.
Yep, that's the weird part. I wonder if the trunk RPO tag is just a generic sticker meant for internal use. The YY vs YX would be redundant with other RPO codes (e.g. Z51, Z52).
My 18 Grand Sport cpe is a " Sales Model Code" 1YW07 VIN IS YY. 1/05/18 build date. Door sticker says 12/17. Build date supplied by NCM.

I think it's unlikely they would want to search for a used car, but who knows? If that's what it takes to prevent you from filing a law suit, making a formal complaint to the state's motor vehicle/dealer commision, getting GM involved (new car dealers have a responsibility to the brand even on used car sales), etc., maybe they'll suck it up and start searching the auctions.
If so, and if your new car is already titled and taxes have been paid, maybe the easist solution for eveyone is for you to trade in the new car for the one they find at an agreeable price. The trade-in and the new car cost will be about even so really no tax consequence.
They just offered to undo the deal, so it looks like I'll be back into my C6 for the time being.
Very hard thing to do, but at the end of the day, it's the right decision.
