They just offered to undo the deal, so it looks like I'll be back into my C6 for the time being.
Very hard thing to do, but at the end of the day, it's the right decision.

according to this Vin decoding guide it's a base 3LT and looks like it just has the ZF1 appearance package

You do not have a Z51. Sorry. Hopefully you have recourse with the dealer. Perhaps the ZF1 package confused your dealer.

I'm livid. It was advertised as such and the salesman discussed it

Quick way to tell: slotted brake rotors

19 and 20" wheels.

dry sump oil tank by the passenger side firewall.

Did a quick search on the VIN nothing came up about Z51. I check mine because I have a 2016 z51 and it showed the z51. I would talk to the dealer about this.

I would say a bummer, and would go back to the dealer, cause you pay extra for the Z51 package, sorry to say you didn't do your home work, I hope they negotiate with you, but truly don't think so, check your bill of sale and make sure they stated Z51 package in the deal.

Talk with your attorney... sounds like possible fraud IF there is proof they sold it incorrectly and don't wish to make it right by you.

Exactly, not like you have to dig through code sheets and docs, as it's fairly obviously if it's a Z51 or not.

I don't blame you for being ticked off, as far as monetary recourse, the Z51 package is a $5000 add at new, so what value it adds to a C7 that's (3) model years old is subjective.

Honestly, I took a screen shot of the car advertised on their website which it was stated as a Z51. With the ZF1 package and 3LT and the salesman telling me it was a Z51, I missed it. I'm within 72 hours, so I think I can still take it back technically? Guess I'll find out. It's too bad because it is a a beautiful car.

In addition to not having the Z51 RPO listed, it doesn't have the Z52 RPO listed(dry sump) as all Z51 are also Z52's.

You were lied to.

It's not just the difference in the price between to two cars, but would you have even purchased the car knowing that it wasn't a Z51.

Here's the label from a car that is truly a Z51.

Your dealer clearly misrepresented the car to you. Hopefully you can get this resolved to your satisfaction.

In NY, you have a 3 day right to rescind. You can return for any reason. Confirm with an attorney.
Do I dare ask what dealer? Are they a Chevy store?

Really Beautiful C7.
Did you purchase it from a Chevy dealer? If not, possibly they were told it was a Z51 and didn't know the difference nor felt the need to verify.

No I wouldn't have. Coming from a c5 Z51 and then C6 Z51 you would think I would have caught it. It's partially my mistake, but they mislead me for sure.

Is it even worth keeping the car with money back in my hand is the question. And I dont know the answer. I can have them add some parts back on, but likely not all the ones from a Z51.

Yes it was from a chevy dealer. :-/

Incorrect.

See the photo of the label in post #13. That car is a Z51 and also carries the 1YY07 on the label.

They should have known better. There's no excuse for this deception.

They need to either refund all of your money or find a Z51 that satisfies you for the same money. Don't allow them to just add a swaybar and/or slotted discs. There is much more to a Z51 than that.

Yeah, I agree. I traded my C6 in which makes this even more complicated.
