Has anyone installed a GM bra on a C7. I have a 2016 and tried to install the bra on my car but the clarance around the headlights is so tight I gave up. Was afraid of screwing up something.

I tried and gave up.
Absolutely worthless, threw mine in the trash.
I just want to be sure that the bra you had was an actual GM product and not an after market. I am going to go to the dealer tomorrow and have someone try and install it. That should be good for a laugh.

Because of the opening for the grill, way too many tabs to deal with. I got a Novistretch and it works great. Easy on/off and it does provide enough protection from small stones, plus has the added benefit of stopping all the Florida bugs from getting to the radiator
This is the original GM bra after approx. 500 miles on the interstate. The POS will not stay tight around the wheel well openings. Save your money on that thing. If you want a better one I suggest you consider the Colgan Bra. It is designed to stay tight, and it much thicker with softer and thicker backing.
Disclaimer: I bought the Colgan but haven't used it yet. But from experience with these type bras it should be fine at highway speeds. IMHO
Good God...There are people that still put bras on their cars?
If you saw how many bugs get stopped by a Novistretch you might change your mind. On long trips at highway speeds the number of bugs that are stopped from smashing against your radiator and engine compartment, not to mention the front of your car, is nothing short of amazing. We're talking thousands at a time here. Big bugs, little bugs, butterflies, moths, beetles, gnats--ALL that stuff is going toward your radiator. Novistretch is easy on, easy off, easy clean, and easy store. I don't use it for daily driving, but on road trips it is very worthwhile, and God has nothing to do with it.

I have used the GM bra from quite a few trips and found the tabs around the headlamps to be the biggest challenge with the install as well. The gaps around the headlamp are not entirely even. The gaps on my car are greatest at the bottom of the headlamp. I insert the tabs at the point where the gap is greatest and slide them up (one at a time) to their final position.
I think it is also worth mentioning the above photos showing torn bras was due to an earlier manufacturing defect with the bra. I had this problem with my first bra. I have since changed to a Z06 bra after installing a Z06 grill and have not had any more problems.
