not necessary unless you see indications of improper alignment it tire wear or driveability. If you don't see any corner wear on the fronts, feathering of the tread on the corners, or the car seems to pull or other driveability issue, keep on driving. Mine has just under 4k, and the alignment has not changed. I aligned my C6 GS once and had over 50k on the clock when sold.

Thanks, i had heard that the springs settle after 2000 miles. We have 12k on our Beautiful Legend and have 6k on new All Season tires so I want them to last as long as possible . Plus I want the car to handle well. She drives like a dream so................
confirmed a free alignment to GM specs was performed at my 500 (actually 660) mile oil change on March 28, 18, 5 days into ownership. Alignment was out of spec in 3 areas, adjusted. cost of visit $0.00. They may ask you "what's wrong with the alignment?" I told them that is what I wanted them to find out. Service coordinator wrote in computer scope of work "customer reports pulling to one side." Yeah, yeah, that's the ticket to a free alignment.
I have read many times now that after 500 miles G M will pay for the new alignment. Check into it my friend.

Yep have heard the 500 miles as well but some say they have waited longer and got it covered.. Have also seen posts re springs "changing" but these are single piece springs and doubt they change. However the spring and sway bar bushing will adjust to some degree so I waited 400 miles and did NOT just have it checked, had all 4 wheel camber adjustments set where I requested.
For my Grand Sport the GM allowed range in camber is very broad. It is acceptable from -0.5 to -1.7 degrees! Anything within that range is "within spec." -0.5 is great for uniform tire wear and -1.7 great for tracking! From the factory my rear tires were set at -1.6, within spec. I asked and got them set at -0.8 degrees. In fact, the only spec that was "in the red" (out of spec) was one toe! Tech could have fixed it and said all is fine!
He adjusted all cambers to my request and all toes centerlined, all close to zero. I watched from outside the service bay as the tech did the alignment using specs on a sheet I supplied. Told him their would be a tip and he asked me into the service bay watch the alignment machine display as he made the changes! that is usually against shop policy, insurance and all that. I said don't want to get you in trouble and he said don't worry!
Your job to say what you want! A number of Threads on the subject, i.e. performance versus tire wear alignment.
Yep, the dealer has to put something on the form to have GM pay for the alignment. Help them by saying it feels like it's pulling slightly to the right! Road camber can make all cars pull slightly to the right!
If the tires are wearing properly and the car is driving properly there is no need to get an alignment at 500 or 2000 or 50K miles. I purchased a 2003 Tahoe and the first time I had an alignment performed was when I purchased my second set of replacement tires at around 100K miles. Turned out my steering problem wasn't due to alignment but worn pitman and idler arms.
Little FYI, I just spoke with the service writer at my local dealership, he stated that Chevrolet will cover the cost of an alignment up to 7500 miles at the dealership. YMMV!!

Today, I also asked my corvette service writer @ my local dealership in SE NC about an OEM warranty alignment. He indicated that the mileage could not exceed 7,500 and had to be 6 months or less from the car's in service date for the alignment to be covered under the original OEM warranty.
