I say this as a person that just recently bought a base 2lt with z51 and love every bit of it and every minute I get in the car.

That wide body though...

If I could have made it happen in my price range, I would have jumped on it (as long as it had the m7 as well).

Had a 3lt 2016 stingray and loved it. bought new. traded in for a 2016 z06 with 2600 miles. love the wide body look and wouldn't go back. if the GS has low miles I'd go for it.

let us know what you decide. you can't go wrong with either

lol. But you can though lookong at the car in your garage or on a parking lot etc if tou really wanted the widebody would make a base stingray the wrong one. Just my opinion.

2 types of people buying these C7s.

those who want the widebidy

those who don't

plenty of reasons for either side maintenance costs tires etc etc. But in the end this is a toy. It should be the toy you wanted or you'll spend thousands to make it "like" the toy you wanted and in the end it will still never be that... (how I ended up in a Z06 in first place)

OP. Get a 2LT GS. Make it work you won't regret it. Getting a base stingrays regardless of trim after you know what you like is gonna haunt you. Damn those gm designers! Lol

You can't go wrong with either car.......it's a CORVETTE.......and that is what matters.

I prefer the "clean" look of the Stingray 2LT - and ordered my 2017 in Torch Red with black wheels, red calipers, small rear spoiler and the manual transmission. I have nothing against the Grand Sport, but my "garage queen" will never see a track and it's easier to maneuver into my small garage.

Some of the people in the Corvette club have the GS and others have a Z06. Honestly, it doesn't really matter as long as your car makes you happy. The "cool factor" of a Corvette trumps almost everything else on the road no matter what style/trim you buy.

Also remember that 99 percent of us are NEVER going to drive these cars to their maximum level anyway.
