Use the steel wool... 00000 grit; 0000 is too coarse.

You can buy a bug scrubber that will also work on paint without scratching at WalMart. It is a sponge covered with a mesh material.

On the windshield?

Windex like every other reasonable person who understands what Windex is.

I use a clay bar mitt on all the glass and it typically leaves everything slick.

Very slick & makes bug removal EZ.

Rejex is great, been using it for 6 years. I do the whole car glass and all. Used Collinite on the boat ONCE. It yellowed and was almost impossible to remove.

I use Adam Polishes windshield sealer. Makes it very slippery and the bugs come off easier. Like a rain x

I like to keep a light coat of wax on the windshield and all the windows for that matter. It makes cleanup easier and works like rain-x on the crazy off chance I get caught in the rain while traveling.
