When I opened the box I was initially disappointed. Not sure what a CNC machined TB should look like. This one was cut a little uneven in places. I’m a layman big time. For all I know they all look like this one.
I have no illusions about performance gaines with just a throttle body. I don’t care if I lose power. My goal in buying the TB was to get rid of the flat spot with initial movement of the gas pedal. I want to stop stalling my car. Obviously I’m running a manual tranny. Anyway, no matter what it looks like, it must be right because I feel like I got more than my moneys worth. The flat spot is gone. The drivability is much much better. Taking off from a start is now like it should be.
I'd be mad if I lost power. But you didnt. I think Katech CNC's theirs and is conservative on their porting job, but it should do a good job. I have one and have no complaints. Getting a tune soon with some other mods.
