It sort of grows on you. First time I saw it I thought that if it was an interior house paint they would call it eggshell white, but that does not have much marketing appeal, so they called it CMG. They had a ZR1 at the Bash in this color and I thought it looked good.
From the photo it resembles primer that has a glossy finish. No thank you.
BORING!!!
That's EXACTLY what it is. Shiny primer!
When I was a young man I helped my Dad re-putty all the windows on he and Mom's apartment buildings. I think it looks EXACTLY like the putty we used on the windows!
To me, buying a C7 CMG plain is like a steak without the seasoning. It needs some decoration and flavor if I ever was to consider buying one.
The Carbon 65 is cool, and the one Metalgearsolid_x owns has a pretty good combination as well. But I just couldn't pull the trigger on a 'plain' one, regardless of trim.
Not for me, have seen it up close and it is one of those colors you have to convince yourself looks good. Just does not "Pop".
Just the opposite for me. First color I saw that I liked better than my 14 Stingray Arctic White. It screamed buy me. I walked away, as it was on the show room floor when getting a service. Two weeks later I saw one in Daytona out in the sun. Loved it. So, I ended up trading and getting one.

But then again we're talking color preference which is totally subjective. I would say if you're on the fence about it then it's a pass.
I see a little blue in mine in some lighting conditions. First color I have seen I liked better than my Arctic white 14.

I fully agree. My wife liked the Arctic White I traded for it better. Not me. Love mine. Three pictures of my new one, and one of the car I traded.
I feel like Chevy wanted a color like their ol metallic pewter. Something that can look different in different lights and at the same time sporty/classy. I think they failed. It doesn't have much pop or depth. Like others said. White chalk or primer. I dont think they wont offer it for very long.

Awesome looking car! Need to finish it off though by replacing with some carbon flash spats. Never understood why GM did not offer CF spats as an option. I understand this color is not for everyone. This color would sell better in Europe.

Ironically, I always had similar feeling to Pewter Metallic (compared to regular silver) that many express towards CMG comparing to AW. My brother was into Pewter Metallic and had a couple Firebirds that color. I always thought the color just made it look like a dirty silver car that needed a good wash.
I think it’s awesome It has depth.
The Carbon 65 package is far more thought out than I originally viewed it.
I also think it’s a conservative play towards the ‘frozen’ colors that are so popular with bmw and Mercedes performance cars - definitely a younger buyer angle.
It’s amaxing how so many of us visually perceive CMG. I wonder if GM is pulling the ole “Black and Blue, White and Gold Dress” illusion on us with this color. Remember this?

I may look into that.
I really like grays, bought this bike in the fall. Cant tell in pictures but it has very fine metal flake in it. Sort of like pictures really do not do the CMG justice

Funny you say that, because I read in an article that the European market asked for additional allocation for the Carbon 65 during its release. I'm not sure what the original distribution was, but Europe basically owns 1 out of 5 Carbon 65s, or roughly 20%.

Europeans are not big on flashy colors. I don't think a torch red, Sebring orange, or Racing yellow would do well there. CGM is an elegant color, it's not in your face, it's a classy color.

I really try to see how each color makes the Corvette look good....but I’m having a hard time with this CMG. Sorry, but t looks like a white car with a layer of dirt on it. And I have seen them in person.
