Might be worth going to a local speed shop, check out the prior install and verify tune is such your not sitting on a potential problem. They could also walk you thru the system so that your up to speed on what to maintain.

Picture 3 appears to be a vacuum "tap" probably from the brake booster. Applies a vacuum source somewhere else in the car. I had something like that on my SC'd C6.
