I think I might adjust how I initially get my grip on the back edge of the roof.

BTW, I used your fender hash video as a reference when I did mine. Mine are vinyl rather than the factory printed decal, but your video was still helpful. Thanks!
Hi Jeff-

Oh yeah WGGS I hear you, nobody want a scratch!! Ouch.

A real golfer will get his clubs to the course no matter what he drives! lol Leave the top at home or have your passenger hold them. There is plenty of vertical space without the top on the car. lol Take care and thanks for your comment! -Ozz

Its one of my favorite things and I just can't wrap my head around not taking it off constantly. I'm so happy I came into corvette in this gen when they all come off. A fixed roof car would be a big negative to me.
Topless. It's the way to go! haha Thanks spireland appreciate your comment and enjoy the sun and wind in your Corvette! Take care -Glen

I looked up the gm weather strip lubricant and I was wondering if you have any recommendations for how often to use it? Here is a link to it for reference https://smile.amazon.com/Genuine-Flu...ywords=3634770

Thank you again and keep up the great work
Hi Demnos,

The privacy fabric is soft and will work with the top. It is easy enough to unclip and remove if you don't want to use it. As long as the top is fairly clean no scratching should occur.

For the sticking gaskets I suggest you purchase a clear pure silicone grease, which is the same as dielectric grease and has NO petroleum in it which will eventually break down rubber. It's not necessary for the label to say GM and you may save money. This is the best way to keep the weather stripping seals lasting a long time without sticking and prevent cracking. It's sort of like hand lotion for a persons skin. A little goes a long way, Here is a link to the product I like to use: https://amzn.to/2jUcg5x Use the silicone sparingly and maybe at the most once every few years unless you live in a very hot dry climate. Like I say you don't need much.

Hope that info is helpful to you and thanks for your comment. I appreciate it. -Glen

Yeah the two front latches are sort of important. lol Keep it topless and you won't have to worry about it.

Yes that's what I do most often, leave the targa top at home. There is a nice rack to hang it on the wall if you don't want to risk it being damaged leaning the top on the floor. Here is the link: https://amzn.to/2rF284U

Good point muncie21.

I haven't seen any wear damage on the C7 targa top hold down blocks yet. I guess like everything else in life it could eventually wear out depending on the use and weather conditions but likely will last the life of the car.
