I just ordered a New Grand Sport Vert from my dealer. I was told That GM isn't really giving allocations anymore. He said as the dealers put the orders in GM is just accepting the allocations as they come in. Is this true? also he said It takes about 10 weeks build time
I had a situation similar to yours trying to order my 2018 ZO6, at smaller dealership that I had previously bought my C6 Grand Sport from. When I spec'd out the ZO6 they couldn't give me ANY info, no pricing, estimate of delivery, or availability of options. This went on for a couple weeks, and I contacted one of the larger Corvette stores, they had all the info, pricing and the ALLOCATION. I gave them a deposit, they ordered the car and I took delivery 7 weeks later. I learned firsthand that if the dealer doesn't have the allocation, it ain't gonna happen, the stores that sell lots of Corvettes have the information, pricing and allocation and can get you the car you want.
I will be speaking to the manager this Morning...Hopefully it went through if not I will be going to a large dealer. Is there a way to verify if the build code is 2000 or do I take the word of the manager?

Ask your dealer for your order number. I should be 6 charachters long, probably starting with a "W". Then go to Chevychat.com and enter it and they will give you your event code, or you can do it here in the sticky thread.
