As I was driving off for a weekend trip on Thursday, I noticed the CEL came on. It remained on throughout the weekend but felt no driveabliity issues. The only thing I noticed was that the remote start wouldn't work either. As I fired up to head home on Sunday, the CEL was off and the remote started working again. All seems fine now. It's a 2014 with 13000 miles.
Any thoughts?

Reason: correction
CELs, even when extinguished, remain in PCM memory for a considerable period of time. If I were you, I'd take it to a dealer, have them plug in to the OBDII port, and find out what the code was.
First thing is check codes.
Otherwise, a momentary hiccup.
Happens all the time.
It repeats something's amiss, probably require a deeper look.
Keep a watch, time'll tell.
If something's about to fail it finally happens, no need to guess.
Nature of today's vehicles where diagnosing's never been more difficult.
If the CEL extinguished on it's own, I wouldn't lose any sleep over it with no other symptoms apparent. However, I would want it documented that it did appear once for future reference.

I agree, something tripped the CEL , it did not just come on by its self
I would want to know what tripped it , if u dont want to go to the dealer just go to auto zone or any parts place and ask them to read your ECM , make sure to tell them you are looking for a code in history

At the minimum find out what code or codes were set.
It could be a random occurrence, or an intermittent condition that caused the initial problem, but step one is to find out what code was set.
