I considered these fins before ordering my diffuser. Figured it would be a headache with installing it perfect aligned and having the paint match the carbon flash.
Not impressed with the fit of the EOS fins. The template is garbage and while the fit may be acceptable for someones first car with upgraded hub caps, DIY bubbly window tint and rust spots covered with decals, it's not what I feel is an acceptable fit for our cars. You get what you pay and while I like the overall look, I'll be going with a molded single piece diffuser down the road. These fins look good from afar but up close the gaps are noticeable.
Anyone looking to go this route, definitely remove the stock diffuser. Can't image trying to get things lined up with it still on and would probably make the end result even worse fit wise. Test fit
Is that the factory orange peel on the back of your car around the rear Corvette emblem, or have you repainted it?
I removed my lower rear panel before installing mine which made the installation much easier. It comes off in about 20 minutes. As previously mentioned, the markings, 1's and 2's on the back side, should be used to pair up the fins.I added washers to the screws in order to expand the securing surface area on the back side of the panel. TIP* I pushed the panel and diffusers together in order to minimize the gaps between the mounting points. This made the fins and panel conform to each other better then when I first mounted them. I did have my fins painted carbon flash metallic by a body shop so they match perfectly! Overall I'm satisfied with the fitment and the look.

Yes, .. You definitely have a better fitment that gbranham has. As far as the 1's and 2's go, .. Which ones go/went where on your car? Also, do you have another pic, a bit farther away to show how this looks on your white car? My car is white too!

Sorry, I can't remember. It's obvious when you lay them up against the panel though. They will sit straight one way and swapped to the other side they will look crooked. The place on the panel where they mount has a slight upwards rake from the center to the outside.
I don't have another picture but, can take one on Sunday when I'm back in town. Send me a PM as a reminder.
I paid about 2 bills for a set thinking they were different but I think that was a fifty buck lesson for me; I then took them to Corvettes of Auburn in Auburn, WA and they found it easier (granted on a lift done by real pro's) to take the two rear wheels off and come in behind there. (As stated in my previous entry) there is a lot of "stuff" behind that rear diffuser; a pump of some sort (I have a Vert) and a bunch of lines. It ended up taking them alittle less than two hours but the rear diffuser was never removed (maybe that's better?). They look the same as the other pictures here and I like them....still a lot less than getting a whole new rear diffuser with the fins built in.

Good luck....
The higher cost "ACS" brand diffuser fins show just taking a loose the forward attaching screws on the diffuser, and reaching your hand/arm into the diffuser to attach and install the fins. I had considered doing it just that way, but had reservations on drilling the holes until I was SURE exactly where the 1's and 2's go. Here's a video of a guy installing the ACS brand diffusers. The EOS is a near knockoff and the install should be very similar. The installation begins at the 6:00 minute mark of the video.
EOS painted diffusers on c7 Stingray
Installed yesterday. Pretty good fit for the price. I ordered already painted Arctic White $300. I’m very sure you can easily paint these yourself though. The paint was pretty close. I think with the Arctic White C7 they look pretty awesome. I took some pics and have some tricks for the install I should share if anyone is interested.
I have a set of ACS, 2nd time I will be doing this but had back surgery so been healing before I get down to it. I thought long and hard about that option. Yes I think they would survive just fine if it was VHB type tape. The challenge would be not having gaps due to the thickness of the tape. With the bolt on it sucks them up to the diffuser.

Painted my ACS diffuser fins myself & installed them. No gaps on my install. Took great care to flatten the folded template sheets for drilling the holes with an iron.
Then carefully cut out the index hole markings on the template with a exacto knife right on the index hole outline. This allowed me to use my finger to line the template
index holes perfectly with the proper holes at the bottom at the diffuser. Carefully smoothed out the template and taped it to the diffuser. This chore is no place to be in
a hurry as well as drilling the holes. It is vital to do this correctly to get the best fit to the diffuser. Screws are the way to go IMHO, the fins will not be falling off any time soon.
Another tip : If you leave the diffuser on the car for the install BE SURE TO USE A STOP COLLAR ON YOUR DRILL BIT as described in the instructions. There are some items
behind the diffuser that should not be touched with the drill. Once the drill breaks through the composite it will grab & you will run the full length of the drill into the hole before you
can stop the drill (cordless) !!! There are a couple items very close the the diffuser on the drivers side of the car.

Has anyone been able to compare the fitness of the EOS vs ACS versions or seen them both? What are your thoughts on fitment for each? Trying to decide to keep my EOS ones and install them or order ACS ones

I bought the EOS version. Wasnt happy at all with the gaps. I sold them. Just bought the ACS version. I am much happier with the fitment of the ACS pieces.
Hey dude, .. acscomposite.com ripped you off first! I lifted that pic from the ACS website. I also noticed the knockoff brands are using this same photo on Ebay. Trust me though, .. your badass Z is selling EVERY ONE of these that sell!!! ... Awesome View
If you REALLY want a laugh, I had to email them through ebay to make them take down the pics off our website with our customer's cars advertising what were obviously ripoffs of our original blade system.
I mean, they initially couldn't have picked a more obvious car. They seriously couldn't have used two more obvious cars from the catalog.
Eos fins. Wen i was installing mine i had one break off. There 2 pieces super glued together. Wen i was tightening it up b4 it was thight it came apart. Glued it back together myself because i was so mad i drilled holes in my car and now had no part to put on..... then i emailed them for replacement. Its been 2 months and no help! Thanks EOS!
template sucks for the outer ones also.
screws it comes with are cheap junk.
great idea. Look cool. Just cheap.
