I have a 2015 coupe manufactured in April 2016. I have had it at the dealer a few times for the shuddering problem. It has had the triple flush, the torque converter change, and the transmission valve body changed. I am still experiencing a vibration problem (vibrates 2 secs-stops 3 secs). It is most evident in the driver seat and feels similar to a rear tire imbalance condition. It does not appear to be speed related. The dealer service people cannot figure it out and have talked to GM customer service. I received a case number from GM customer service. They informed me that they "investigated" the problem and the vibration is a "harmonic" and they consider it to be a normal condition. Imagine that! A car that is touted by GM to be a world class automobile and is compared to the likes of Ferrari and Lamborghini has a vibration that is a "normal condition." Really GM Customer Service? You should be ashamed for even suggesting this. A vibration such as this is not a normal condition, especially in a car like this. Although I really like the car and enjoy driving it, I do not know how much longer I will be able to put up with the vibration. It is an annoying problem which I think must be fixed by GM. I would like to find out if anyone else with a 2015 coupe is experiencing a similar vibration issue.
I have a 2015 coup and had a noise/vibration on the drivers side located at the rear end of the car. It would occur at around 50 mph and after investigating, it was caused by my rear tire. Apparently when the OEM Michelin tires get to around 25K-30K miles, they chunk on the inside. Installed two new Michelin's and no more noise/vibration.
I have a 2016 Coupe with A8, Z51/MSRC and it does what you're describing.
Mine also does not seem Speed related or engine speed related.
Have you tried coasting in Neutral and see if it still does it?
Mine does !
I can say it's not like it's shaking the car apart.
It's very subtle and almost not noticeable some times.
And, the main thing IMO is it only seems noticeable when cruising at a steady highway speeds.

Dealer says they tried different tires and rims with no success.

Good luck
I have tried all gears and different speeds. I have shifted into neutral at different speeds. I have even killed the engine. Regardless of what I do, there seems to be no change.
First get the dealership out of the picture for a few minutes.
Take the car to Discount Tire and ask them to road force balance the rear tires. If you can afford it, do all four.
Have them write down the weight. I think anything over 25Lbs GM says is a bad tire and should be replaced.
