Diablo Trinity 2 Return
Decided to try the T2 tuner and after 3 tries with customer support and three new file loads they sent I am still unable to tune the car.
Keeps coming up saying unsupported. Customer service was pretty good overall but the phone message when I am on hold says returns must be done online and when I go online it says to call in.
Odd.
I did buy right from the vendors website btw.
Any thoughts?

1- Did you buy the right tool , I know with my I3 there is a GM version , A Ford Version and a Mopar version
2- did you UPDATE the tool first ....you have to run the updater
When I got my I3 , which was a GM specific tool I ran the updater , , then I plugged it into my car and had no problems doing anything with it

Yes. I bought the one for GM and I went platinum so I could get custom tunes.
I went online and checked the version and no update was needed.
The main issue was something with the transmission. When I went to load it in an error showed up after it read the data in the car.
Kept saying that there were unsupported issues with the car and it could still read and write an error log.
So I did and emailed the files to CS.
They were helpful and gave it a good shot.
After three files they sent me that I loaded into the tuner it was still a no go.
I ended up calling them and they walked me through the return process.
Interesting note though. I read on the website that I had 90 days to return it and when the guy spoke with me he said I was within my 30 day window to return.
Not sure what that was all about. My wife is sending it back today with the RMA number they provided.
I have to pay shipping back to them but I guess that's better than being out the cost of the whole unit.
I will say that I got a bit nervous after each file they sent didn't work. I had visions of a bricked car and we getting it towed for a re flash at the dealer.
I feel the company was fair overall I just would have liked it to work the first time.
Logging my data and having a dashboard of info was what I was after.

I am taking the car up north of where I live for a dyno run and have a shop tune it. That way I get to see the runs before and after tune.
Thx for the help!
Let me know how it turns out !
I wish I could get mine tuned but for now I am leaving mine alone as I had a real close call with a warranty claim that could have cost me over $14,000.00 …….

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
That is going in next week. Only 16k on the clock too.
What is your story?

Good news is , they did not try to half *** fix the blown motor and got me a brand new motor , plus my power train warranty was extended by GM to 2023 ...
the bad news is ... I got a brand new motor in a Corvette ...oh well it's not a numbers matching concours car anyway and I drive the heck out of it
Dave
Amazed that this happened to you. How many miles on the car?
I know things can happen to anyone in any model car. Just bad luck I guess.
Glad you have a new motor. I intended to drive this until the wheels fall off so matching numbers would not be an issue for me.
My Vette went to the shop for the second time in 4 months today for a transmission issue.
I had the TQ converter replaced under warranty and the shudder went away. Now it's slamming from park to 1st like your popping a clutch. It's an automatic lol.
Funny enough I am driving my wife's Honda CRV now. It never fails and I never had an issues with any of my Hondas in the last 30 years.
My 2010 Camaro and my 2015 C7 on the other hand are not as lucky.
This will be the last time I buy towards the front of any new generation vehicle. The Camaro had issues under warranty.... and then things that were bad parts.... that chevy said too bad about. Like my airbag seat sensor in the passenger side failed and I never really rode passengers. You think that would be a safety recall or something when its a bad part. Nope.... Go pay $1400,00 and it's dealer only to reset the sensor.
Anyhow I feel your pain. My C7 is awesome in almost everyway except for a A8 transmission that likes to give me grief. Thank you GM for a 5 year 100k powertrain warranty.
I will buy another Vette but not until well into the models life cycle for any new transmissions or engine designs.
Good luck with the new motor.
