What does it look like? Does it have the partition inside or not?
If the plug has changed, I would wonder if it has the correct resistor in it.
C7 should not have divider, and female connector should be like the one on the right.
Don’t remember the brand, got it off of e-bay through Indy-motorwerks, $ 13.99free shipping. Works perfect, no codes. Be careful not to confuse the reverse plug, with the skip shift plug in. Advertised as fitting all c-7 14/ 19. Only problem was the zip ties were to small they broke while tightening, had to use heavier ties, no problems with it.

Good point... The CAGS solenoid is the WHITE one... also not the temperature sensor down lower....
Also some have said their fault light comes on with the wrong cable
If a fault light comes on, maybe the resistor is defective...Do you have a volt/ohm meter to check the bypass resistance value? I have measured different bypass resistance from 25 ohms to 2000 ohms.
The resistor is in the black connector that plugs into the wiring harness... What you are holding just caps the solenoid to keep the dirt out.
Taevon lee, I could not find that vendor on ebay but I wrote 3 or 4 of them and they all said will not work with 2018 cars. I am looking for the cable type. The 2 piece units leak grease and oil into the wire holes. send me a link to yours if you can.
I just went on e- bay, put search for skip shift for 2018 corvette stingray. And it brings up several vendors, that being one of them. It gives u the list of cars it fits, mine was one of them. That’s about all I can tell you.

???
Unless your car is spewing oil like the Exxon Valdez, neither end of the CAGS solenoid wiring in question has any normal exposure to grease/oil.
However, if you are still worried about it, a tiny dab of silicone would seal those external 'holes' in the 2 piece units right up, preventing any 'leakage'.
I got one from Amazon. My dealer offered to install it (which surprised me) then said it wasn't for the car, that it was for an automatic (?), etc. It didn't help that the tiny piece of paper that came with mine referenced a C6, but I'm pretty sure it was the correct one (WCC). Hard to convince someone when technically, you can't even enter the vehicle bay. Is it that difficult to find? I've watched the youtube video but, frankly it's useless.
It was an easy 10 minute install after jacking up the car. Took 5 minutes longer than probably necessary because I wrapped everything with heat protective tape. Just make sure you don't plug it in to the reverse lockout. I read in a thread a while ago that someone made that mistake (apparently they have the same plug) and he couldn't get his car into reverse. I found these instructions that may help. They have good pictures.
