Memory seats
On my 18 Grand Sport M-7 I have had an issue twice. Both times, my wife was also in the car with her FOB #2. It will go to her setting rather than my FOB #1 setting. I also unfortunately learn it will not go to setting 1 when I press and hold the 1 button, but will program button one to her FOB setting.
Not sure why if both FOBs are in the car it chooses to use #2.
Our solution is I get in, and start the car, then she gets in. Not ideal, as I can't open and close the door for her.
She does not like to go anywhere with out a key to the vehicle we are going in. Never had this issue with the 14.

My wife normally gets in the car first carrying her #2 FOB when I open the door for her. When I get in and start it, 99% of the time it shows Driver #2 and the seat etc go to her position.
When I press and hold button #1, the dash still says Driver #2 but the seat etc go to position #1 like I want. They do not program to #2.
Not sure if there is something goofy with your car, or if that was an intentional change with the 2018 year, or just one of those random electrical glitches.
Here is the kicker. He had the seats redesigned to fit him specifically because he is 6' 9" and could not otherwise drive the car. But it is still odd that when programed they work a couple of times and then quit.

My wife does not have a Vette key! She has never driven any of my 5 Vettes. They have all been standard shifts but she can drive a stick. Loved her 7 speed Plymouth Champ when I had a Dodge Colt Turbo with gas being very expensive in the early 1980s.
WIFES CARS- DETAILS
While I have had 5 Vettes as DDs, she has done fine! We needed AC when we moved from CT to SC and she got a Honda Accord standard shift and I bought my first Vette, in 1987. Her reason for not driving any of the Vettes is I would be very upset if she scratched it but she actually prefers riding in her car, which I drive when we are together.
From the Honda, she had an XJ6, then a Mercedes, a CTS, then a Porsche Cayenne, followed by two BMW SUV’s. Frankly for longer trips I prefer the larger car when I have to drive on an Interstate. I can drive over 18 wheeler tire treads in the BMW!

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
1 out of approximately 10 times, it starts moving to the memorized position, but doesn't finish. It always goes to the exit position, and no, it's not against the limit switch. It's a good 1" forward, as it was each and every time it was set.
It's almost certainly a software glitch, similar to what we're used to with MS Windows, where software programs just freeze or hang up for no apparent reason.

Of course, I probably just jinxed myself.
BTW, I can't help but wonder if Jerry's comment about NOT pressing buttons simultaneously is critical. However, I am definitely not supposing anyone has programmed their driver's seat incorrectly. Gremlins are always lurking where electronics are concerned...

She did do the two Day Ron Fellows corvette driving course and did very well, better than 1/3 of the guys in our class.
She has never driven the 18 GS M7. Not sure if she will or will not. Her choice, or if I have more then two drinks she would have to. Not likely though.
She just hates to go any where in one of our cars or trucks with out her key to it.
My wife would prefer we go in her Range Rover. She is not even really wild about riding in my Car. I prefer to drive my car when we go some where together. She just does not like getting in and out of my car.
Understand, my wife is the same re getting in and out!
However I prefer to drive her SUV when we go out together as in the Vette I have to drive like and "Old Man!"
I also have to turn down the sound system volume and tire and road noise are a PIA! Don't mind that in the SUV although that twin Turbo in the BMW does do very well when in Sport! If she knew I put it in Sport and hit redline from time to time she would not let be borrow it when I need more room! When I'm driving the SUV with her as a passenger I get driving instructions!
Also, even though it has wide run flats, we can hear each other and the sound system is great!
