You say that as though it's a fact, is it or just your guess?

The document filed by the supplier was specific. It stated that they needed extra space to support two vehicles. As an analogy to your suggestion, did they need more space to make spare C6 parts when they came out with the C7? No, they didn't.

Are the C6 panels made by the same company that makes C7 panels?

I love this debate... about 100 different theories in this thread alone. Don't recall there ever being this much speculation about the Corvette. I have my own thoughts, but no bother posting... will be interesting to see how this plays out.

Fast forward to here you just post nonsense and you never have anything to add to add to any thread. Maybe grow up!

BTW, it's also possible that one vehicle might be the mid-engine and the other an update of the current C7. I've seen some suggestions here on Corvette Forum that there will be an upgrade to the current car, maybe of the scale of the evolution from C5 to C6.

I haven't been actively tracking down information on this, just remember some such post on the forum. Perhaps someone has more specific information.

And as always, those who really know probably aren't talking.

We were told by Tadge at the Bash that there would no concurrent build. It was pondered but nixed. Rumors of Corvette becoming its own brand were quelled as well. The trade rags were reporting a Porsche like brand with todays Vette being mid range, a resurrected Pontiac P Car being low end, and mid engine being high end model. Today that seems to be unfounded, but never say never.

So there will be a 2020 C8, wow, who da thunk. Would love to see one in person, but I'll wait 'til they hit the streets.

Having a low-mileage 2017 and my girlfriend with her 2019, neither of us will be in the market for a C8 anytime soon -- but I am very curious to see one in person before rendering judgment. I love the look of the C8's front end and side profile. It screams "exotic" when I saw it on YouTube videos. I still don't like the back end of it - too much 'Camaro' for my taste - but perhaps it will grow on me. I was not a fan of the C7 back end when they came out either, but I eventually liked it after I saw a few of them on the road.

The lack of a manual transmission is kind of a bummer, but I understand the myriad reasons why the C8 is automatic only.
